DOCUMENT VERIFICATION (Only for the students of Batch 2020-21)

On reporting on the below mentioned scheduled date, you shall report to Registration Desk
(Document Verification) -> IT Department (ID CARD AND BIOMETRIC REGISTRATION) ->
Hostel Allocation desk to complete the process as mentioned below.

Since you would be coming to the university for the very first time after your admission, you are
required to bring all your original documents (which you had uploaded on the university ERP
portal for provisional registration) for physical verification by the Registrar’s team as per the
schedule given below.

Note: Document which is required to prove your eligibility is mandatory i.e. result of
competitive exam based on which student has been provided admission like JEE,
NEET, SAT, CLAT, LSAT, CAT / XAT / GMAT / MAT / NMAT / CMAT / ATMA / MHCET
/ GRE Score Card etc. Also, the candidates who have been offered on the basis of
reserved category (i.e. SC / ST / Ward of Defence Personnel / Kashmiri Migrant /
Differently abled Candidate) are also mandatorily required to bring the relevant
documents, as applicable for physical verification.

GENERATION OF ID CARD AND BIOMETRIC REGISTRATION

Once your documents are verified by Registry department, you will be directed to IT department
for issuance of the Identity Card and Biometric registration activity.
Annexure-1

Undertaking by Students and Parents

1. Adherence to Bennett University Honor Policy and Conduct Statement

Students and Parents (here-in referred to as” I” or “we” respectively) as members of the Bennett University,
undertake to adhere and comply with Bennett University Honour Policy which is enunciated as below:

• All members of the Bennett University shall work together in striving for excellence in every
aspect of the University’s activities. They shall seek to be a model of how members of an
academic community can combine their spirit and talents to achieve institutional excellence.

• That in striving for excellence, the personal and institutional integrity is the most precious asset.
Accordingly, all members must accept accountability for their behavior and will not knowingly
act in ways that might damage that integrity .
• Commit to performing the work and fulfilling the responsibilities, honestly and professionally. In
particular, cheating of any sort by any member of the University shall not be tolerated in any
situation.
• Treat each other with respect, honoring the dignity and value each member of
University.

• Cooperate with each other and fulfill the mutual commitments. The same courtesies shall be
extended to the guests.

• Pledge to share University assets, such as facilities, library materials and the information
technology resources, in ways that are responsible, that comply with established policies and
that reflect the principle of fairness.
• Accept adherence to these values as a condition of membership in the Bennett
University.

• Finally, accept adherence to the above Academic Honor Policy and Conduct Statement as a
condition of membership in the Bennett University.

2. Declaration with regard to facts of the Application/verification of document/s

• I/We, declare that all statements made in the application for admission are correct and
complete. I/we also understand that submission of false information, or omission whether
deliberate or unintended of relevant information or credentials may result in my application
being withdrawn, my admission being denied, or my admission being revoked.
• I/We, also understand that I/we have read the admission procedure document and are aware of
the eligibility criteria laid down for the program, in which student has been offered admission.
I/we accept that all facts, which are essential to prove the eligibility of the student to the
program, shall be /has been provided and I/we accept
that admission granted to student may be revoked for noncompliance/not meeting the
admission criteria even if same is detected at a later date.
• I/We undertake that all documents as required and specified by the University shall be produced
for verification in specified time and failure to do so may lead to cancellation of admission.
• We as Parents undertake to provide the University, with complete and correct contact details
like Telephone No’s, email IDs including, those of local guardians, for dissemination of relevant
notices and information as may be required. The University shall not be responsible, in case any
of the information suitably disseminated and received by many in the group fails to reach any
individual member.

3. Undertaking with Respect to Compliance to Rules and Regulations of the University

• I/We accept and undertake that Student will read and familiarize him/herself with all the Rules
and Regulations of the University and I/we shall not object to the application of rules, in case of
violation or noncompliance.
• I/ We understand that ignorance to such rules shall not be treated as an excuse to be exempted
from the consequences, due to application of the rules.
• I/we understand that University shall disseminate the information through notices displayed on
the boards, individual or group emails or updates on the web site, and thus keep ourselves
abreast with the same.
• I/we confirm that as a Student, for the entire duration of program of study in Bennett University,
Greater Noida, I/we shall abide by:

(A) Relevant provisions of Statutes, Ordinances and Academic Regulations of the


University

(B) Academic Rules


(i) The Attendance requirements of the University;
(ii) Rules and Regulations w.r.t evaluation, examination, assessment of performance
and grading system;
(iii) Rules regarding registration in semesters/terms as applicable; Student shall be
responsible to clear the failed papers and complete the backlog courses, in required
duration;
(iv) The University reserves its right to conduct the teaching work and examination as
per its normal time /work schedule. The University shall not be bound to conduct
any special/ separate time/work schedule to accommodate such teaching and
examination for the completion of backlog (if any);
(v) Rules regarding unfair means during the examination;
(vi) Rules on passing and progression in the program;
(vii) Rules regarding award of degree;
(viii) Rules on placement policy
(ix) Any other rule which may be framed and implemented from time to time.

(C) The Code of Student Conduct


(i) Disciplinary Rules and Regulations as specified in the rules book;
(ii) Library Rules and Regulations as specified in the rules book;
(iii) Anti-Ragging Rules and Regulations. Further, I/we understand that ragging is
banned in the University. If Student is found indulging in ragging, at any stage of
his/her study period, he/she shall be liable for disciplinary action; including
expulsion from the University. The University is at full liberty to report the incident
of ragging to the police as per the prevailing laws and court orders on the subject;
(iv) Rules and Regulations relating to the use of IT Facilities in the University.

(D) The Hostel Rules


I/ We confirm that we have read/shall read all the rules specifically Do’s and Don’ts on
conduct of students in the Hostel as given in section (viii) of the Academic Regulations
and the Student shall conform to all the rules prescribed there in, failing which strict
action, as stated, may be taken including expulsion from the hostel. I/we understand
that being an academic Institute, it has the zero tolerance policy towards any violation of
the discipline rules and in specific, I /we undertake that Student shall:
(i) Not bring in or use any prohibited items e.g. cigarettes, alcoholic beverages and
narcotics and psychotropic drugs, non-vegetarian food items etc. in the University
premises.
(ii) Ensure that he/she is appropriately dressed while on the Campus and maintain
proper decorum in the University.
(iii) Shall not play loud music in the room and Student is aware that music system can
only be used with head phones/ear phones.

(E) Conduct on Campus


(i) I/We are aware of the University requirement to keep the class rooms, labs, hostel
rooms clean. Student shall try to ensure that the campus remains litter-free;
(ii) Not indulge in damage to University property;
(iii) Public exhibition of affection/obscene/lecherous conduct is strictly prohibited.

(F) Discipline
(i) I /We understand that if student is found guilty of violation of any rules, regulations
and policies of the University, he/she shall be subject to appropriate penal action as
specified in section (vi) of the regulations of the program or any other action
commiserating with nature of offence
(ii) That the University reserves the right to expel or rusticate the student for grave
violations, as per the procedure out lined in the rules or for any act of omission or
commission which is detrimental to good order and discipline in the campus
(iii) University may impose a withdrawal of any academic or other University privileges,
benefits, rights or facilities.
(iv) The university has specified the offences and punishment there to in the chapter on
discipline. However, the list is not comprehensive and University reserves the right
to judge nature of each offence and punishment there to. Some of serious offences
include:
(a) Possession and/or consumption of Liquor/other intoxicants.
(b) Possession, use or distribution of Cigarette/tobacco.
(c) Possession and /or consumption and/or distribution of Narcotic
Drugs.
(d) Students found in inebriated condition on the campus.
(e) Refusal or resistance to checking of bags at Entry Gate of the
University.
(f) Causing nuisance to others, unruly behavior, damaging or defacing university
property, getting involved in physical brawls, teasing or harassing other
students, etc.
(g) Cooking food in hostel rooms.
(h) Late return to campus after specified time.
(i) Leaving the Hostel/campus without prior permission.
(j) Non-cooperation or obstruction of inspection of hostel rooms by
university Staff.
(k) Mass bunking of classes, inciting students to commit violations of discipline
rules
(l) Bringing in or possession of weapons, indulging in violence, or causing bodily
harm

4. I/We declare that the Student is medically fit to undergo the course of study for which he/she is
enrolled, and that he/she does not have any known medical condition that may require an emergency
intervention by the University authorities. In case the Student has any special medical or dietary needs,
the same have been disclosed by me/us to the University authorities.
5. I/we understand that the clauses in this undertaking are not absolute and represent the spirit and
essence of the behavior and conduct of student during the stay in the campus. The University has the
right to justifiably interpret and implement the provisions which in a normal course, would be expected
from a Student.
