Introduction:
After researching and narrowing down our choices we soon realized that the most
important issues faced by people in Pakistan and globally are poverty and
inequality. Inequality is concerned with the full distribution of wellbeing.
Inequality can be viewed as inequality of what, inequality of whom and inequality
over what time horizon.
Poverty is focused on the lower end of the distribution only; they are those who
fall below poverty line. 24.3% of the population of Pakistan is below the poverty
line. (nation, n.d.)
After deciding the issue, we further researched on it and soon came to realize
that the issue is not black and white but has a lot of grey areas as well. After
having a detailed meeting with the other people in the group we decided to
contain our project to the academic side this issue.

Evaluation of work process:

After the division of work, we separated the project into 2 sections:
1. Primary research
2. Secondary research
In primary research we made virtual questionnaires as there was a pandemic
going on. We had a couple road blocks in the way as we couldn’t convey our
message to a larger audience and it restricted our project even further. We than
attempted to reach out to different public figures but we had very little success,
so after pulling a couple strings we finally had some amazing progress in our
primary research. We got into contact with two really big non-government
organizations in the Taleem foundation and the Akhuwat foundation. The Taleem
foundation helped us by connecting us with the right people like the assistant
commissioner of Kuchlak, Balochistan. We soon had meetings with people like
him and that created awareness on a higher platform. In collaboration with
Taleem foundation we soon got to have a meeting with the co-founder of
gopolite which is a social media app which helps the society as a whole. After
having the meeting with him not only did we gain a couple followers on our
Instagram but after registering on the app we also gained the global perspective.
After the meeting with these personnel’s, we were able to achieve the cross-
cultural perspective as well as we found out that many people from around the
globe have the same or rather similar views as ours
With the newly gained followers we decided to launch our website and the
donations started to come in and we soon collected over PKR 50,000 in
donations.
For our secondary research we pretty much used the internet and we found
couple of researches which we thought would benefit our project and it also
helped us get a broader perspective.

Benefits and difficulties of working in a group:

Working in a group had its benefits and difficulties which created some hindrance
in our project, but there were a lot of positives in working together as well. The
burden of the project was divided among all of us. We had multiple meetings at
the start after which we found out what parts of the project would best suit each
participant in the group for example not all participants had the ability to email
multiple people as they did not have the proper grammar or the formal writing
style, thus it caused unnecessary arguments among the group as some of us were
doing more work than the others. In my opinion we could have reduced these
arguments if we had split the work equally and if we followed a proper action
plan as it would have led to the project run a little smoother with few obstacles.
Working in a group helped a lot because we worked together as a whole and
helped each other by solving an issue as one. As we all belonged to different
communities of Pakistan we travelled to our villages and home cities frequently
which gave us a national perspective.
We were all good at different things like I was good at handling social media and
so I took that role, shehryar zeb was good at writing and scripting thus he
volunteered to handle that part of the project and the other group members
handled the rest of the project work.
I think we could have accomplished our goal rather quickly if we properly
managed time and worked together for every part of the project. Somewhere
later on a lot of us lost the interest and passion to work on the project as we were
focused on other things like school etc. but we still successfully managed to figure
out an outcome for our project.

Own work and contribution:

I made sure I fulfilled my duties and helped the group with everything in my
capability. I took active part in the meetings and gave my opinion on what I
thought was right and what I thought could be improved in the project. I
volunteered to take the role of managing the social media pages of the project. I
posted stories and pictures of the work we had done via Instagram. I also
researched a little for the consequences and measures for poverty and inequality
which helped gives us all a broader perspective for the issue we picked. (Seth,
