About Me:
Quote I believe in - I am going to stop not when I am tired but when I am done.
I am Soumya Malhotra. I was born and brought up in Delhi, India. I have an elder
brother and I always played sports with him, that has left a big an impact on my
personality. I used to play all sports with him, so I started preferring playing football
over playing other games which my age girls used to play. Because of which I was
Vice Sports Captain of my school in 9th standard and Sports captain in 11th standard.
I was an active participant in all extra-curricular activities. I had won prizes in
nukkad natak and in quiz competitions.
I did B.Com Hons from Delhi University. During graduation I was part of 5
different societies:
• Chintan – The debating society’s President
• National Service Scheme’s Vice President
• Economic Society’s Chief Fund manager
• Internal Quality Assurance Cell’s member
• Eco-club’s core team member
While I was in college I did a few big things of which I am proud of. I stood against
sexual harassment. There was a person who tried to take advantage of girls who
came from backward section of the society, when I got to know about this I
gathered strength and asked my classmates to support the girl and we all conducted
strike to bring management’s attention.
When Section 377 got legalized, since we were in girl’s college me and my team
organised a price parade to make other’s feel welcomed so that they don’t hesitate
to come out in public.
I was also awarded with scholarship prize named “Jitendra Chandra scholarship
prize for exemplary contribution to the life of college”
All these things made me believe that I am person who has always had bold
opinions and is not scared to fight back for something I believe in. I am an extrovert
person whereas in MBTI personality I got INFJ.
Special Skills:
I believe I have is confidence, even if I am nervous, I don’t let it come on my face.
After I managed so many societies in college I got to know I am also good at
multitasking.
Future Job Aspiration:
Looking 5 years down the line I was to be Product Manager in a FMCG industry.
At this moment my skill set doesn’t really match with the job. I really have to learn
a lot to reach there and I am ready for the hustle. To reach that position my plan of
action is to do a sales executive job to get first hand experience of the market and
then work in campaign vertical of the product and finally work in product
management team. I have recently cracked my SIP in Education India as area sales
manager.
My dream company is HUL.
Online Presence:
I am very active on various social media platforms like Instagram, Facebook and
LinkedIn but I make sure it doesn’t affect my day-to-day routine.
I don’t write any blog but I have started reading books recently. I am currently
reading Ikigai.
People have come up to me and told that I am a very entertaining person when it
comes to telling a story or enacting a scenario. They like my way of delivery.
Committees and Forums that I am part of in IMT are:
• Committee - Alumni Committee
• Committee - Sports Committee
• Forum – Envision the movie club
My area of expertise as of now is marketing and I am also developing interest for
CSR.
Branding as a Public Expert:
I would like to believe that my opinion matters to the people, My friend come up to
me for advice so there is no reason to believe that my opinion doesn’t matter.
Areas except MBA that I am good at are Sports. I am a CBSE Level Badminton
player.

1. Zomato- I like it’s way of advertising
2. SRV Media Private Ltd – They are very good in doing digital marketing and
using SEO.
