It is an electric oven that heats and cooks’ food by exposing it to
electromagnetic radiation in the microwave frequency range. This
induces polar molecules in the food to rotate and produce thermal
energy in a process known as dielectric heating.
HOW HELPFUL IS IT TO YOU?
You can directly control cooking time; thus, you have much better
control over how much power you use. They also don't retain heat nor
do they heat up everything in your kitchen. Microwave ovens use less
energy than all conventional ovens or stoves since they directly heat
up the water in the food.

Remote controls are used to switch channels of television and do something by just
pressing on it. For example, you wanted to turn on the lights on your dinning, you can
use a remote control to do it.

HOW HELPFUL IS IT TO YOU?
It helps me to save energy, for example I’m too lazy to stand up and turn off the tv,
but since I have the remote beside me, I can just simply press the power button on
the remote control and the tv will turn off.
WHAT ARE THE POSSIBLE EFFECTS TO YOU AND HUMAN ENVIRONMENT?
Prolonged exposure to IR radiation causes a gradual but irreversible opacity of the
lens. Other forms of damage to the eye from IR exposure include scotoma, which is a
loss of vision due to the damage to the retina. Even low-level IR absorption can cause
symptoms such as redness of the eye, swelling, or hemorrhaging. But if we’re going to
talk about the simple remote control with a little infrared on it, I think it will not
harm us, we just have to dispose it properly so that it wont be a problem in the near
future
