a. If you were to design a shoe rack by applying the principles of what you’ve read, what

If I were to design a shoe rack by applying the principles of what I’ve read, I would like to utilize
the same shape as honeycomb, the hexagonal shape. Because choosing a hexagonal shape is also
being practical. A hexagonal shape shoe rack could be divided into two rooms. It saves a lot of
storage and space. It is significant because it makes the shoe rack more organized and satisfying
to see.

b. If you were an architect to design residential/industrial building what shape would you
prefer to use for windows, doors, rooms, and roof? Justify its usage and significance.

Square windows, rectangular doors, square-shaped rooms, and triangle roofs are my preferences.
Square windows because it provides a clear perspective view outside, rectangle doors so that we
can readily pass through them, square-shaped rooms because they are considered optimal for
certain reasons, and triangle roofs so that rain falls into the gutter rather than onto the pavement.
Our minds are wired to seek symmetry, a square-shaped house appears more comfortable and
inviting to us than any other shape.
