The world is relatively silent until the Sarscov II virus suddenly comes to ruin,
impairs our immunity, forbids us from recapitulating the everyday life we had the past
two years. Everyone has lost their loved ones, businesses, jobs, and even relationships
due to the anxieties caused by this virus. There were no wealthy or impoverished
people because all of us were significantly affected. Furthermore, forbidding people
from going outside, mass media is the easiest way to know and connect with others.

By this, we recognize that Mass Media contains a notable influence on us people

throughout this pandemic. We can see, hear the news, and other happenings that affect
and change our perspective in everyday life wherever we are. Moreover, as we go
through this topic, the aim is to inform and notice how mass media contributes to the
pandemic panic of the country's people. First, let us discuss what mass media is and
describe its importance. The means of Mass media is the technology that
communicates with the public. Also, it is the prime interface used to encompass the
majority of the people in society. The common platforms for mass media are journals,
brochures, television, radios, and especially the internet. We rely on mass media to gain
information regarding different political concerns, social concerns, recreation, and
knowledge about current events. However, even the mass media is beneficial, there is
still an abrogating impact on us. Mass media holds mostly the different connections we
have, especially since people nowadays gather news using the internet. In this matter,
we cannot anticipate ill-disposed sites and articles made by the unknown to create false
information about the factual news and data, particularly concerning the people's health
associated with the Covid-19 disease. In addition, some people are posting threats and
spreading wrong information like the areas with the highest Covid-19 cases without any
evidence. Even fake donation drives for the covid-19 patients are lying everywhere.
Why do these cases happen? The usual spreading fake account appears on social
media. It can be from one person to another broadcast but deals with an enormous
value of trust.

Moreover, even we have friends on social media we trust, we can still trust and
believe any information they share. In that case, fake news uses the confidence we
have in our friends and family to support us to presume and guess it even it is not
entirely proven true. Also, one of the causes of fake news that can make us more prone
to panic is not conducting research. It is one of the problems why most people
nowadays is a victim of false pieces of information. Fake news never disappoints to
confirm its claims, even if that proof implies are prevaricated. Since we imply to take a
greater interest and have more significant interests in false claims and news, it is more
chaotic and confusing.

Due to this false information and data coming from the mass media, some people
experience panic relapses or develop panic dysfunction. Our brain and nervous system
are working essential functions in noticing and controlling fear and anxiety that triggers
the body. Furthermore, as the fake news spreads on mass media, it might have incurred
a specific gut feeling about offending allegations that could harm the trustworthiness of
people in society. Foretelling whether the occurrence of a particular study of simulated
data happens may also break the preservation of civil defense, general financial safety,
and public interest. Many people had indeed experienced fear and individual trial due to
the lack of admittance of truthful information.

In these times, we tend to forget different things that make us healthy from wrong
beliefs and know the role and the proper use of mass media in society. In resolving the
problems of panic attacks made by misinformation in mass media, we must scrutinize
every detail of the article we read, see or hear on the internet. In the Philippines, the
"Bayanihan to Heal As One Act," also known as Republic Act No. 11469, states that the
president has the crisis capabilities to manage the Covid-19 outbreak. Moreover,
through this law, every false information regarding the COVID-19 crisis on mass media
platforms, every person who provides information that has no practical effect on the
state and encourages panic, fear, and confusion should be arrested and sentenced to
jail. This topic means that even the mass media is beneficial. The law will punish the
abusive users who misused and made a wrong spread of incorrect information to
prevent public panics and anxieties towards every person in society.

In conclusion, as we encounter different trials brought to us by this pandemic, we

must be knowledgeable and responsible for every decision we want to make, especially
if the life of others will be for its sake. We must be the role model of the upcoming
generation on how to trust and use the mass media correctly for excellence. A
responsible Filipino will be the one who will contribute to the solution in preventing the
spread of pandemic panic nowadays and not one of the problems in the country when it
comes to fake news. So as we pray that the pandemic will be over soon, we must also
pray for the wisdom and strength we need to cope in every circumstance and prove that
we are born with perseverance.
