Remodeling a bus for cross country home

PURPOSE OF REPORT
The purpose of this report is to keep up to date on the progress my girlfriend and I have made
remodeling our bus. We hope to have this project done by April 21st, 2022. Our estimated
budget for this project is $50,000. Our start date was January 21, 2022.

Task list and estimated date of completion:


1. Research size of bus needed. (January 21st)
2. Plan out the bus layout. (January 21st)
3. Purchase used bus. (January 26th)
4. Preform tune up and mechanical work on engine. (January 27th)
5. Gut the entire bus. (February 1st)

10. Install bed and built-in dressers. (February 25th)

WORK ACCOMPLISHED:
JANUARY

• Research size of bus.


• Design the bus layout.
• Purchase bus.

FEBRUARY

• Gut entire bus.


• Raise the roof 2in.
PROBLEMS ENCOUNTERED

• There were more mechanical issues than expected. Took extra days to diagnose and
repair.
• Raising the roof proved difficult with insufficient equipment.

CONCLUSION
This project we allotted more time than we figured we might need, just in case there is more
bumps in the road. Scheduling is very important as well as a layout plan. Our initial completion
date is April 21st, 2022, but we will not be using this van until June 21st giving us an extra 2
months for anymore problems.
RECOMMENDATIONS

• Plan out before starting project.


• Budget more than you plan to spend.
• Research every part of this build.
• Have the right tool for the right job.
