provement in February as the av­
erage  daily  generation  rose  to
over 24.26 lakh against 22.20 lakh
in  January.  As  on  February  27,
over  6.6  crore  e­way  bills  had
been  generated  during  the
month. A week before that, it was
over 4.76 crore.

their  domestic  wholesale

year­on­year  (y­o­y)  basis,
while players like Mahindra &
Mahindra  (M&M)  and  Tata
Motors  have  grown,  helped

February,  declining  by  seven

nounced the ₹320 crore final
close  of  its  maiden  fund  MV

vestors,  government  institu­
tions,  tech  professionals  and
family  offices  —  including  in­
vestments from Nippon India

imposed a penalty on three co­
operative banks, including Na­
grik  Sahakari  Bank  Maryadit,
Raipur, Chhattisgarh, for defi­
ciencies  in  regulatory
compliances.
Afine of ₹4.50 lakh has been
imposed  on  Nagrik  Sahakari
Bank Maryadit, Raipur, Chhat­
tisgarh,  for  contravention  of
RBI  directions  to  urban  co­
operative  banks  on  exposure
norms and statutory/other re­

Similarly,  two  Jila  Sahakari

UHNWIs  has  grown  by  11  per
cent  year­on­year  in  2021,  the
highest percentage growth in

Nearly  20  per  cent  of  Indian
ultra  high­net  worth­indi­
viduals (UHNWIs) invested in
crypto  assets  last  year  amid
rising  popularity  of  crypto­
currencies  and  NFTs,  accord­
ing to a Knight Frank report.
In  its  Wealth  Report  re­
leased  on  Tuesday,  Knight
Frank said 18 per cent global
UHNWIs now own cryptocur­
rencies  or  tokens,  and  11  per
cent  have  invested  in  NFTs
(non­fungible tokens).
“In  case  of  India,  18  per
cent of ultra­wealthy have in­
vested  in  crypto  assets.  10
per cent of them being inves­
ted  in  cryptocurrencies/
tokens,  and  8  per  cent  being
invested  in  NFTs,”  said
Knight Frank India in a state­
ment.  In  2018,  when  The
Wealth  Report  first  explored
the potential of blockchains,

There  are  now  more  than
8,000  cryptocurrencies  in
circulation  for  investors  to
choose  from,  as  well  as
myriad NFTs, it added.
Plans lockdown
for mass testing

Hong Kong plans to enforce a
lockdown of the city to ensure
that  a  mandatory  Covid  test­
ing  drive  planned  for  this
month is effective.
The  mass  testing  for  the
city’s  7.4  million  people  will
be  held  after  March  17.  Offi­
cials  are  targeting  to  hold
three  testings  within  nine
days,  together  with  a  lock­
down to maximise the effect. 
The city’s core financial ser­
vices,  including  the  opera­
tions of the Hong Kong stock
exchange  and  Covid  vaccina­
tion  programme,  will  con­
tinue during the mass testing.
Mobility
Residents,  however,  can  still
go  out  and  buy  necessities
and  food  during  the  lock­
down.
