Concept Notes:
When you have identified the research objectives of your study, you can formulate the
working title of your research study. The working title or tentative title of your research study is
the temporary title being used during the development of your study. This may be revised to
the final title at the end of the study when you have finalized your objectives and results. Your
research title must include the key words of your study. Key words (or key terms) are words
or phrases that indicate the focus and central theme of your study. There may be three to five
key words for a research title. Read journal articles related to your key words and related to
your study. Then, write the Chapter 1: Introduction of your research following the specified
format.
Below is an example of the Abstract of a research study published in the research journal
International Journal of Pedagogical Development and Lifelong Learning. The Abstract is the
summary of the study from which you can have ideas about the research without reading the
whole paper. Read the Abstract and answer the following questions. (Do not copy the image below).
