Introduction:

Welcome to new experiences and activities under the Reading Visual

Aid
s As we progress, we should be able to understand and appreciate the
key concepts and skills involved in the utilization of a motivational tool,
visual aids, in enhancing students’ attention in reading literary texts.

At the end of the course, pre-service teachers should be able to:

1. demonstrate understanding of the reading process and its
significance;
2. demonstrate understanding of using visuals to understand
expository texts;
3. demonstrate knowledge and understanding on the importance and
effectiveness of visual materials in reading;
4. demonstrate basic analysis and critical thinking in interpreting
visuals; and
5. develop appropriate visual aids in reading.

With blended learning, you are required to work on the modules, take the
summative assessments, take on-line quizzes, and submit outputs for every
module.
Your modules are self-contained and independent units of instruction
with well-defined objectives to develop specific competencies. These are
designed to make your learning easier yet challenging to you to become
creative, resourceful and independent. As an educational tool, the modules
will present and explain the topics substantially and serve as your textbook.
They will provide you with a variety of activities that will stimulate
independent and self-guided learning experiences.
At the beginning you might think that the module is difficult to
comprehend. If you feel that way, relax for a while and when you are ready,
read slowly with understanding. Just follow the directions and you will be
guided as you move on page after page. Remember, I will not be with you in
person to guide and clarify matters for you but you may post in our google
