Presenting Appropriate Instructional Materials – “Better This Time”
1. Guided by the learning objectives of the subject matter given to you, provide your
Cooperating Teacher with the list of resources that you have searched.

REFLECTION
2. Write your short reflection on how teaching a certain lesson can be better because the
teacher uses appropriate instructional materials.
Instructional materials. These materials make learning more interesting, practical, realistic and
appealing. They also enable both the teachers and students to participate actively and
effectively in lesson sessions. Instructional materials aid the teacher and students in avoiding
an overemphasis on memorization and rote learning, which may quickly take over a lesson.
Both student learning results and teacher motivation can be significantly increased by using
They give students the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning that aids in
the development of concepts and skills as well as a variety of learning styles. The fundamental
knowledge that students will encounter, discover, and use during a course is provided by the
crucial. It supports the teacher in their instruction and directs the students’ learning. We were
certain that we could provide our cooperating teacher with the greatest teaching resources
possible when we created the items she asked because we have experience creating
educational materials.
Our greatest foe, nevertheless, is time. Making print materials takes so much time
that it can occasionally prevent us from moving forward with other tasks, like responding to
our activities in both field studies. In addition to time, we cannot help but experience some
pain when purchasing the materials. Because we were able to deliver the instructional
materials on time and all of the students, especially those situated in the back, could obviously
and clearly read the write-ups on the Cartolinas, we can state that our preparation of the
The remedial materials that we made were also successful because they helped
students who had been labeled as “struggling readers” improve their reading skills better. To
sum it up, the Instructional materials we created supported and expanded upon the students’

Instructional Display Making
Having assisted your Cooperating Teacher in making bulletin board displays, make your
own plan to put up a bulletin board display once you become a teacher yourself.
I plan to make a post-it bulletin board which not only does get the students to
read, it invites them to pay attention, make observations and comparisons, be motivated, and
ultimately, share their opinion. This board helps students who may struggle with more negative
feelings toward school and themselves. Positive behavior, quotes and affirmations displayed on
the wall where they can see them every day to help them feel motivated.

Snapshots of My Assessing of Learning Performance
I can say that rubrics are very helpful for both teacher and students. Rubrics are great
for students because they let students know what is expected of them, and demystify grades by
clearly stating the expectations for a learning output. They also help students see that learning
is about gaining specific skills (both in academic subjects and in problem-solving and life
skills), and they give students the opportunity to do self-assessment to reflect on the learning
process.
Rubrics also help teachers authentically monitor a student's learning process and
develop and revise a lesson plan. They provide a way for a student and a teacher to measure the
quality of a body of work. When a student's assessment of his or her work and a teacher's
assessment don't agree, they can schedule a one on one discussion to let the student explain his
