ASSESSMENT FOR LEARNING AND ASSESSMENT AS LEARNING

It is not enough in a sense that each student has variety of capacity to show wether they learned the lesson or
otherwise. It is also because of the peer pressure it poses. Because if the majority said "yes," a "no" might be
less valuable. That's why an assessment of learning must be done.

3. Should the teacher record result of formative assessment for grading purposes? Why or why not?
Yes. In this sense the student may know which area s/he must improve

4. Based on you observation, what formative assessment practice worked?

The application best works in a sense that students can create their own meanings out of what have been
discussed.

5. If the students is at the heart of all assessment, then all assessment should support student learning? Do
you agree? Why or why not?
Yes. The utmost responsibility is to keep the quality education. Hence provide all the best things to learners.

6. Does assessment as learning have the same ultimate purpose as assessment for learning?
No, because the process is different. One is taken in the process of the learning but the other is after the learning
have been done.

1. Formative assessment is tasting the soup while cooking. Reflect on this and write your reflection?

Your formative assessment is an ongoing process; it isn't static; perhaps it is dynamic and should be diverse to
meet learners' needs. From this, I can claim that a formative assessment should really undergo enrichment,
adjustment, and evaluation as well.

2. The primary purpose of assessment is not to measure but to further learning. Reflect on your personal
experiences of assessment in school. Were you given opportunities for self-assessment? What was its
impact on your learning?

Self-assessment is really a pivotal and essential tool in one's growth. This made me sensible, mindful, and
responsible with my own learning and growth. Hence, it gives me further goals and an understanding of what I
need to work on with my teaching and learning aspects.
