All cementitious fireproofing (whether dense or lightweight concrete) shall

be provided with a top coat under any of the following conditions:
1. When coating is required by the manufacturer;
2. When fireproofing is installed within 9 meters vertically from grade. SAES-B-006

3. When fireproofing is installed on equipment that is protected by a Sec. 8.5.1
fixed firewater spray or deluge system;
4. When fireproofing is installed below atmospheric drains or vents that
are used during normal operations.

Prior to top coating, the surface shall be dry, free from defects and loose

Fireproofing must be fully cured in accordance with the manufacturer's SAES-B-006

The minimum thickness of dense concrete is 50mm from reinforcing wire SASD

The minimum thickness of fireproofing materials for structural members

and vessel supports, other than qualifying dense concrete, provide a

furnace environment in accordance with UL 1709 or an equivalent fire
exposure test procedure accepted by the Chief Fire Prevention Engineer.
