A General Requirements (This checklist applies to all Coatings Applicator Personnel as listed below)
Each protective coatings applicator personnel has been qualified & SAEP-316,

certified prior to work and has a SA Coating Certification Card. Para. 3.1
The coating card has the name and picture of the employee required to SAEP-316,

perform coating application works. Para. 5.1
The personnel is employed by the Company indicated on the card.

(If not, then the card is invalid, renewal of certification is required)
The card is properly signed by an Aramco Certified Coatings Inspector SAEP-316,

Level II and signed by his Inspection Unit Supervisor. Para. 5.1
The card is valid, the date of expiration is within three (3) years from the SAEP-316,

date of issuance of the card. Para. 3.4.1

The card has indicated the task that the employee is qualified to perform
as described in the Contractor's submittal. These tasks are any one or in
combination of the following: SAEP-316,

a. Crew Supervisor Para. 3.2
b. Abrasive Blaster
c. Coating Applicator

The type of work the personnel is certified to is applicable to the project


requirement, i.e.:
SAEP-316,
A7 a. Industrial Coating and/or
Para. 5.1
b. Pipelines Coatings.

For pipeline and pipeline renovation coating, the Coating Applicator


Certification Cards issued to qualified candidates has indicated the
specific pipeline coating system they are qualified to apply, such as:
(* ) Tape wrap, (*) Heat shrink sleeves, ( ) SAEP-316,
A8 APCS-113 liquid Supplement 1,
( ) APCS-113 putty, ( ) STOPAQ wrapping. Para. 6.2
*Note: Application of Tape Wrap & Heat shrink sleeves has been
discontinued on Hydro-carbon pipelines.(Refer to SAES-H-002 Para
6.6)
