ACKNOWLEDGEMENT

I wish to take opportunity to express our profound thanks &

gratitude to all those who have directly or indirectly helped us in the
completion of this project.

The project titled “Agro management system” would not

have been completed without the valuable guidance and
encouragement of Name of your Teachers
I am also extremely thankful to Prof. Ravindra Patil Sir Head of
B.C.A. Department & all staff members for their guidance and moral
support.

I am also thankful to my colleagues & all my Hostel

friends for continuously inspiring us to complete this project.

Last but not least, I express my deep sense of gratitude to

my parents who have give me plenteous of moral support and
without whose invigoration & understanding it would not have been
virtually possible for me to achieve this success.
Introduction

This project is for “Agro management system”. The need for this
project was felt as the number of customer is increasing every year
and the agency faces many difficulties in maintaining the data. Prior
to this, the records were kept manually and the required great deal
of time, money and consistency in maintaining those. The worker has
to work for a whole day for creating a simple report such as list of
customers who are using gas for domestic or commercial purpose.

The processed involved was much elaborate and very time

consuming. Thus the need of computerization was felt and this
project came into existence. There was a problem of duplication of
data maintain in the records hence to overcome this problem the
agency automation is required. With the automation the security has
increased.

The main approach of our project is to make the “Agro management

system” much easier and effective. Using this project there is less
paper work. Now only the authorized persons have access to the
database and no one else can tamper with the records. The
application is much flexible and can be easily adapted.
Fact Finding Techniques:-

To study the system we need to collect facts i.e. gathering

information about the system. The proper use of tools for gathering
information is the key to success analysis.

Various fact finding techniques are:

 Interview.
 Record Review.
 Questioners
 Observation

.We used the following Fact Finding Technique:

 Questioners
 Observation

1) Questioners:-

A questionnaire is a perform a containing a sequence of questions

to collect information from a user. The questions are clear & simple

& to the point. The success of collecting data through a

questionnaire mainly depends on how skillfully & imaginatively the

questionnaire has been designed. For collecting the information

about the System we have visited some Agro management system

and asked about their systems by asking some questions.

2) Observation:-

Observation allows analyst to gain information they can’t

from any other fact-finding techniques. In this method analyst

observes the flow of documents, way the process is carried out

etc.

Because of lack of record review fact finding technique we visited

to Agro management system and observed their flow of

document process.
Feasibility Study:-
Feasibility is the determination of whether or not a
project is within the scope of organization. Feasibility is carried out
to select the best system that meets performance requirements. This
type of study determines if a project can and should be taken.

There are 3 types of feasibility:

1. Technical Feasibility :-

It is the study of hardware & software i.e. technical requirements

of the system in order to inform the management & end user about
the requirements of technical resources.

The system is technically feasible. No additional software or

hardware is required for the implementation, as the system is
developed using Visual Basic 6.0 Technology as front-end tool
&Microsoft Access -2007 as back-end tool.

2. Economical Feasibility :-
It is the most frequently used technique for evaluating
the effectiveness of the proposed system. More commonly known as
cost/benefit analysis. It determines the benefits & savings that are
expected from the proposed system & compare them with costs.

The system is economically feasible since it would not entail

additional hardware, thereby savings on the costs & the manpower
involved.
3. Operational Feasibility:-

It is mainly related with the human factor. It checks the

operating environment of the proposed system. Since the proposed
system is computerized, it is finding that the system is very easy to
use.

The system is window based with appropriate entry &

error messages, for every screen & hence the systems very user
friendly. This user friendliness of the system results in simplicity in
operations of the system. The retrieval of the information will be
easier as all information is stored in the database.
Hardware and Software information
