Similarities between online learning and traditional learning environments are:
Both online learning and traditional learning require a great amount of work.
Giving and receiving feedback is important in both environments.
Assignments are a huge part of the learning experience.
The challenges and rewards are the same in each environment.
Both require that students manage their time wisely.

Really? Wow, itis impressive how important public and private universities are in Peru.
More than 60% of students who apply to a public university do not get a place to study
there, so their second option is to study at a private university.
The differences and similarities between public and private universities are remarkable
when students want to study after school.
Both universities have the same building to study. Private universities have some
classrooms to be able to study according to your professional career with practice rooms
to students as public universities. Also, students have to take an exam before study at
these universities because the university have to evaluate their academic performance. In
public universities, students have to study hard to take an exam to study in that university
as well as in private universities.
Both universities have a different number of students per classroom. While in a public
university there can be up to 40 students per section and up to 5 sections for students.
While in a public university there may be up to 40 students per section and up to 5
sections for students, in private universities there may only be a maximum of 20 students
per section and there are few sections for students. Moreover, private and public
universities pay professors differently. In the case of private universities who pay the
teachers are the students, they pay every month to study there, while in the case of public
universities the state pays the teachers which for many years have had problems because
the state does not pay them as they should so the teachers stop going to give classes.
Monthly payment is different at this universities. In public universities students just have
to apply and pass the exam and they study free, in some cases they have to pay but not
much money, but in private universities students have to pay a monthly amount of money
depending on the university.
In conclusion, we have differences in public and private universities, the way to study
there, the number of students and the investment to be able to study.
I think that both universities will be the same in the future, maybe the students will have
to pay to study in a public university, because in many occasions the public universities are
on strike because the state does not pay the professors and that harms the students, so in
the future they themselves will have to pay to be able to study and have a good
education.
Really? Wow, it is impressive how vital public and private universities are in Peru.
More than 60% of students who apply to a public university do not get a place to study
there, so their second option is to look at a private university. The differences and
similarities between public and private universities are remarkable when students seek
information about what type of university they want to study. Although on many
occasions it is difficult for them to choose. Because learning in a public university takes
time to be ready to take the exam, and in a private university, they must have a good
economy.
Both universities have the same building to study. Private universities have some
classrooms to learn according to your professional career with practice rooms to students
as public universities. Also, students have to take an exam before studying at these
universities because the university has to evaluate their academic performance. In public
universities, students have to look hard to take an exam to study in that university and
private universities.
Both universities have a different number of students per classroom. While in a public
university, there can be up to 40 students per section and up to 5 sections for students.
While in a public university, there may be up to 40 students per section and up to 5

public universities, the state pays the teachers who for many years have had problems
because the state does not pay them as they should so the teachers stop going to give
classes. The monthly payment is different in these universities. In public universities,
students have to take an exam and pass it. After passing the exam, they study for free.
What is rewarding for them is that they don't have to worry about paying a high amount
every month, and they feel proud when they pass the exam because it is hard to pass. So,
students have to work hard to apply to the public university. In some cases, they have to
pay but not much money, but in private universities, students have to pay a monthly
amount of money depending on the university. Sometimes it is difficult for students
because we know that some families do not have a good economy for their children, and
students have to work and study at the same time to be able to pay for college which, can
affect their learning.
In conclusion, we have differences in public and private universities, the way to study
there, the number of students and the investment to learn. I think that both universities
will be the same in the future, maybe the students will have to pay to learn in a public
university, because on many occasions, the public universities are on strike because the
state does not reimburse the professors, and that harms the students, so I think students
will have to pay to be able to study and have a good education.

PUBLIC SCHOOL VS ICPNA
Really? Wow, it is impressive how much you learn in a public school versus a well- known

public school and Icpna are evident, the similarities are striking.
Both schools have a good building to study. Both of these schools have many classrooms to
learn for students and they have practice classroom like a class of computers in case of Icpna
and a laboratory in case of my public school. Both schools have different types of teachers.
In my public school, I had teachers who were not responsible and did not teach me well,
even though sometimes they attended classes, they just sat and did not teach anything, but
in ICPNA, the teachers were always responsive, and I learned a lot from them. They had a
different way of explaining to the students.
I had different relation in public school and Icpna with partners. In the case of my public
school, I had more trust with my partner because they lived near my house or school, and I
spent more time with them. Sometimes we would go out to the movies or have meetings to
do projects. I did not have many friends because they lived far away, and we spent little time
in class, I studied for 1 hour and a half a day, and I did not spend much time with them. In
class, we only studied and talked about what we were learning. Also, because sometimes
they were older people, you were in a classroom depending on your level of English, it did
not matter how old you were. Although I met many people, I never had close friends in
Icpna. Both schools had different ways of learning. In my public school, we did not have good
technology to learn, sometimes we needed a computer for some classes, but they only gave
us books or copies of topics that were not informative, but in Icpna, we had computers to
learn better. Sometimes I went to do homework that I had to do, there was also a library to
read books, I went many times alone, and I loved it very much.
In conclusion, we have more differences between my public school and Icpna, the teachers,
infrastructure, etc. It is about the experience that I had in my life. I think that in my public
school maybe in two years they will have good technology for the students' learning and I
hope that ICPNA will continue to have good teachers like the one who teaches me this cycle.

1. Cost of Attendance.
Arguably one of the biggest differences between public and private schools is cost of
attendance. Since public schools are largely funded by state and federal governments, they
can afford to charge lower tuition rates to students. In other words, government subsidies
cover the remaining costs so students don't have to pay the full price. This is partly why
tuition is a lot lower for in-state students than it is for out-of-state students, as the former's
tax dollars help fund state governments. For 2020-21, the average cost of tuition and fees
at public, four-year colleges are $18,809 for out-of-state students and only $8,487 for in-
state students, according to the National Center for Education Statistics. Because private
schools rely on tuition for a large portion of their funding, the cost of attendance is usually
much higher. Currently, the average tuition price at private, four-year colleges is $30,065
— more than 250% higher than the average cost for public, in-state students.
2. Program Offerings
When it comes to program offerings, private colleges — particularly liberal arts colleges —
tend to offer fewer academic majors than public colleges. This isn't necessarily a bad thing,
though. Students who know what they want to study can benefit from private colleges that
offer a specialized focus in their field of interest. Public colleges typically have a larger
student body and therefore offer more degree programs. For example, Purdue University
— a large, public school in Indiana — offers nearly every degree field you can think of, with
more than 200 majors. Students who are undecided going into college may prefer to attend
a public university with a wider variety of majors and minors to choose from.
3. Research Opportunities
c Another benefit of public universities' government funding is their ability to provide a large
array of research facilities and labs. UCLA, for example, contains hundreds of research
institutes and labs across campus. Students who are serious about leveraging their school's
resources to carry out academic research will often find the greatest opportunities at public
schools. By contrast, private colleges tend to have fewer student resources and research
facilities. One exception to this is private research universities, such as Johns Hopkins
University and Cornell University, which spend billions of dollars on research and
development each year. Though dozens of private research universities are similar in this
regard, smaller private colleges simply can't match public schools' research efforts.
4. Financial Aid
Both public and private colleges provide federal financial aid to students. Private
institutions, however, often have more money available to award grants and scholarships
due to their large endowment funds. In addition, they frequently offer more sizable tuition
discounts than public schools. According to the National Association of College and
University Business Officers, private institutions extended a record average 48% tuition
discount to undergraduates for the 2020-21 school year. In short, while private colleges are
often more expensive than public schools, financial aid packages and tuition discounts can
sometimes make them more affordable than public schools.
Learning Environment
One of the most important factors to consider when choosing between a private and public
college is the learning environment. Students who are independent learners typically fare
better at public colleges. While professors still hold office hours and are willing to provide
extra help outside class, students are entirely responsible for reaching out and seeking
assistance. Private colleges, on the other hand, are better suited for students who may need
a little extra direction and supervision. The smaller campus and class size allow academic
advisors and professors to form close relationships with their students, which, in turn,
results in more direct guidance and assistance for students throughout their college careers.
Campus Diversity
Over the last decade, both public and private colleges have become increasingly diverse.
Since private colleges charge the same tuition rates regardless of state residency, their
student bodies are often more geographically diverse. Meanwhile, public colleges tend to
be more demographically diverse due to their higher acceptance rates and more affordable
tuition costs. While these factors can certainly influence a college's level of diversity, they
do not determine it. What this means is that you shouldn't exclude a college from
consideration simply because it's public or private. If a diverse student body is important to
you, you should research each school you're considering applying to in order to determine
how diverse it is and in what ways.
Class Size
Class size is another important factor to consider when deciding between public and private
schools. Public colleges typically have larger class sizes, with less one-on-one interaction
between students and professors. Depending on the college, you may take classes with a
few hundred students in them. Private colleges tend to have much smaller class sizes, which
creates a more intimate learning environment between students and instructors. If you
prefer smaller classes and more direct access to professors, you may want to prioritize
private schools in your college search.
EXPRESS
OPINION
1. Do you think it is possible to teach all subjects as MOOCs, or are there
some subjects that must be taught face-to-face in a classroom or with a
smaller enrollment?
- I think MOOCs are essential for students because they can help professors
teach many subjects online without leaving houses, but we have to know that
some courses have to be learned face-to-face in a classroom. For example,
medical students have to do practicals in a lab. Students have to be with
partners sharing opinions to improve their learning, otherwise, practicing
online would be very difficult for them, and they would not learn and perform
as they should.
Explain.2. Would you enjoy and be successful in a MOOC? Why or why not?
Be specific.

Body paragraph 1
Topic sentence: social media allows people to be connected all the time
Explanation: With social media people can send a message, to their friends, family or
coworkers. Also, students can study online and workers can work in their homes
Example: My brother work in my house He doesn’t have to leave my house to work, we
spend many hours working online using apps, websites, etc. He always tells me that the
social media is very essential in our daily life and I agree with him.
Closing sentence: social media is a part of our lives as we can communicate with people
without seeing face-to-face
Body paragraph 2
Topic sentence: social media can help businesses promote their products
Explanation: People can post on Facebook pr other apps to showcase their products to the
world.
Example: I am an example; Sometimes I pay to Facebook in order to get followers for my
page of clothes. So, I can sell my products and earn money, thanks to social media now I
can pay my studies with the money that I earn.
Closing sentence: We can make money with social networks because it is free to post
pictures or videos, so it is helpful, and we should take advantage of it.
Conclusion Summary of the main ideas: social media can help us a lot to connect with the
world and can earn money if we use responsibility.
Recommendation: I recommend to be self-disciplined if we want to enter to the world of
social media, because we can get good things, but social media can also be bad for our
health.
Final thoughts: The media is a tool that helps us connect with the world and we can do
great things, especially now that we are in a pandemic situation. The media has saved the
lives of education and the economy
OUR BEST TOOL
It's stupid! Some people say that social media is bad for all of them just because they
don't know how to use it responsibly. Studies say that thanks to the effects of social
media, the economy and education have improved significantly in the world. Having social
media in the world helps people communicate with each other and earn money.
Social media allows people to be connected all the time. There are social media platforms
such as Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and more apps that help people to send
messages, photos, documents, etc. We are in a pandemic situation, so students have to
study online, and thanks to social media, we are continue learning in online classrooms,
and we are in contact with our friends and family. A good example is my brother, he
works in his house. Since he has a laptop to work, he doesn’t have to leave his house, but
he spends many hours working online using apps, websites, etc. As a result, He has body
problems due to overloading and overuse of the screen and keyboard. He always tells me
that social media is essential in our daily life, but using responsibly apps or websites, and I
agree with him. Social media is a part of our lives as we can communicate with people
without seeing face-to-face.
Social media can help businesses promote their products. People can post on Facebook,
Instagram, or other applications to show their products to the world, and they can make
money by selling products. I pay Facebook to get followers for my clothing page or invite
friends to like my posts. For instance, with the help of social media, I can sell my products
which are women's clothes and earn money, sometimes I upload videos, and Facebook
pays me because people watch my videos on my page. Now I can pay for my studies with
the money I earn. I remember I used to paste pictures on the streets or hand out flyers,
but I got rid of that because I found a better way to sell my products. We can make money
with social networks because it is free to post pictures or videos, so it is helpful, and we
should take advantage of it.
To summarize, social media is essential in our life, we can earn money if we use
responsibly. It is our tool that makes us improve growth in technology. I recommend
being self-disciplined if we want to enter the world of social media because we can get
good things, but social media can also be bad for our health. However, people who are
using social media in a good way are triumphing in life like me. Social media helps us
connect with the world, and we can do great things, especially now that we are in a
pandemic situation. The media has saved the lives of education and the economy.
Other assignments
Dear Sick and Tired Sadie, I applaud you for recognizing that your
husband has a problem. You are definitely doing the right thing by
trying to help him manage his smartphone dependency. It is not going
to be easy for either of you, but there are definite strategies you can
employ to make the smartphone a blessing again, and not a curse
First of all, you need to help him to stop compulsively checking his
smartphone. Tell him to have a predictable time off and that would help
about the time that he invests using his phone. Having a specific period
of time for entertainment will create a habit for him and would be easier
for him to reduce the time that he spends on his phone. You have to
help him to be self-disciplined. He has to learn to follow his own rules,
in this case stopping using his cellphone. He has to use his willpower.
He has to manage his time well, know his priorities and surround
himself with people who support him. There are also things he can do
to alleviate the anxiety he feels when he doesn't have his phone
nearby. For example, he can start by slowly diminishing the use of his
cell phone or try to wean himself away from his cellphone in moments
that he spends with his family or friends, such as having breakfast,
lunch, or going out. If one of his problems is that information is
constantly available to him, I suggest turn off alerts to not lose
concentration and focus on what you do, because you don't have a
necessity to check constantly your phone, also, you should make
specific times smartphone-free try new methods, for example, be
productive for an hour and take a break of 30 minutes to relax, finally,
you must to avoid using web browsers that take you to other pages
because you will lose concentration and in a single click you could lose
the time you spend on the cellphone.
Finally, to help him stop using the phone inappropriate times, you could
tell him to use his cellphone just in certain situations like when he is at
home and not and not when he's driving, because you know that
texting and driving at the same time causes many accidents every day.
He needs to make commitment not to use his smartphone many hours
during the day
Social Media
Causes and Effects of Social Media Essay: Today we will learn about the cause and
effect of social media on youth, teenagers and adults. How this term social media is
affecting today’s world with good or bad learnings. In earlier days the mode of
communication was sending letters to communicate with someone. But with the
change in technologies, we came up with an idea of sending the same letter via emails.
As soon as days passed technology became so advanced that people started
communicating live via facebook, instagram or whatsapp and many more applications
that exist in the world.
With the change in time social media is growing rapidly. We have many applications
growing every day with some good knowledge and some bad influences. Main social
media applications are facebook, twitter and instagram. Social media is affecting the
world in many different ways. Earlier social media was formed with an idea to find and
communicate with new people or old friends.
This term social media mostly got famous in teenagers. Age between 17 to 22 are the
main users of social media these days. This is the age group of teens who got more
affected and got addicted to social media.
Causes
Social media has made communication so much easier. Earlier we used to waste so
much time communicating with people by sending letters or emails and waiting for
them to revert or reply to the same. But now with the help of social media everything
got so much easier. We can talk or communicate LIVE just by using chatting options on
every social media platform. Main social media applications are facebook and
instagram and these both are highly used applications these days.
People not only started to use this for communicating but also these apps give them
access to the outer world, and so social media is used for many different ways now. We
will discuss the examples of how social media is useful for people these days and has
become an important part of their lives.
People not only started to use this for communicating but also these apps give them
access to the outer world, and so social media is used for many different ways now.
We will discuss the examples of how social media is useful for people these days
and has become an important part of their lives.
Social media is now also used mainly to promote brands, earn money and showcase
their products to the world. Also to show their talent like dancing, acting and to
entertain people. Many companies try their hands in social media to promote their
brands to the world where they can’t reach. All they have to do is make facebook and
instagram pages for their brands and start sharing new images and videos of
products they want to sell, and as soon as people startwatching that product and if
they like it they can buy online with the help of social media.
Effects
As we discussed, mostly the main users of social media are teenagers and these
teens are the ones who got affected and got addicted to social media. Social media,
on the one hand shows a good world to people but on the other hand it destroys the
mental peace of mind. More and more people every day are trying their hands on
social media and getting lost in it. Sometimes social media influences people in such
a way that they become a different personality in real life.
People are getting so addicted to social media that they only connect with people
online but it’s a fact that they have lost the ability to connect with people in real lives.
They have lost confidence in themselves. 75% of the population using social media
are teenagers. Out of them many of them are getting themselves in stress,
depression, and anxiety. Social media shows a good part of life but never shows the
bad part of life. Many teenagers think that why cant they be a good model with a
good body or good face? Why can’t they have a talent for dancing or singing? If they
can’t find the answers to this question they feel so bad, get themselves into
depression and stress and destroy their lives.
So everything in the world comes with good and bad. So social media also has a
good and bad influence on people. Many just use them for some good deed and
many use them for bad deeds. Always try to use social media minimally. My
suggestion will be to always try to influence more and more people with your talent
and always try to get influenced by good influencers. Every individual is different.
During this unit which is about "The empty classrom" in
this unit we talk about distance and online classes which is
a problem we are going through now.
