PROPOSAL OF ACTIVITY

I. GENERAL INFORMATION

Title : NATIONAL WOMEN’S MONTH 2022

Venue : St. Francis Xavier College
San Francisco, Agusan del Sur

II. CONTEXT AND RATIONALE

National Women’s Month is celebrated annually in the month of


March. It offers an opportunity to reflect on progress made, to call for
change and to celebrate acts of courage and determination by ordinary
women who have played an extraordinary role in the history of our
country and community.
For March 2022, the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW)
celebrates this month with the theme: “WE Make CHANGE Work for
Women.” As this is the culminating year of the mentioned theme, the
question to ask s “Did WE Make CHANGE Work for Women? How and to
what extent?” As this year’s sub-theme “Agenda ng Kababaihan, Tungo sa
Kaunlaran” where PCW calls for actions to narrow gender gaps and
achieve gender equality and women’s empowerment, a seminar is
necessary to take this agenda into action.
In line with this, the Social Science Teachers will hold a seminar and
an exhibit to showcase the creative output of Social Science students

designed to celebrate women empowerment as we make change work for
women. This activity aims to empower women to become resilient and to
celebrate womanhood by giving appreciation to the students’ artwork
based on the theme through an exhibit to be held right after the seminar.

III. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the National Women’s Month celebration, participants are
expected to:
1. Appreciate the dignity and human rights of every person.
2. Empower the students specifically the women to be assertive of their
rights.
3. Instill positive influence on the evolution of women’s empowerment
and equality.
4. Showcase their talent and creativity during the week-long
celebration.
5. Enhance their critical thinking through a webinar.
