India is one of the largest democratic nations in the world, the democracy of the country can be proven

through the election system of the government in which the citizens exercise power directly or elect
representatives from among themselves to form a governing body, such as a parliament. This is the
process through which people can express their political opinion. They express this opinion by public
voting to choose a political leader. Furthermore, this political leader would have authority and
responsibility. So, suffrage is an important part of the election. Most noteworthy, suffrage refers to the
right to vote in Elections.

Voting is not just our right but our duty as well", this saying goes a long way as it tells us we have
responsibilities as citizens of the country. Our choice of voting can have extreme consequences on the
upcoming political system and administration of the country. We must realize that a lot of the
lawmakers are responsible for the various policies, laws, and infrastructure of the country for the future
years and we are responsible for how these policies, law, and infrastructure is to turn out by voting. It is
important to understand that election acts as a pillar for democracy because when all else fails we can
still choose the right person to run the country.

For some people, the responsibility of electing a good leader is found less important in front of money.
Money and gift influence the voters and because of the greed of money, people sell their precious right
of electing the eligible leader for the country. Buying the democratic right is against democracy and is
treason to the country and allowing the politicians who are ready to purchase the votes are in the hands
of the people of the country. So we must understand that voting for the wrong person by taking money
in return can have an impact all around us and can affect our country for a very long time. Exercising
one's democratic right by voting will pave way for strengthening and developing the society. But, when
the administration is in the wrong hands, no developmental activity will take place,

By selling the vote for our greed on money and not choosing the right leader, a lot of people can be
affected in the sense it can have far-reaching consequences on the political system of the country. To
protect the democracy of the country from money, muscle power, and politicians, electors should cast
their votes to the candidate of his choice without getting money. An election makes sure that the
government is of the people, for the people, and by the people. So people must be truthful and loyal to
the country by electing the eligible leader for the country without selling the right. Everyone should vote
on their own as everyone has a different opinion and in our Indian democracy we can choose who can
preside over in the office, this also allows us to have a say in this political world.
