Example 2: In the Wheatstone bridge circuit, R3 is a decade resistance
with a specified accuracy ±0.2% and R1 and R2 = 500 Ω ± 0.1%. If the
value of R3 at the null position is 520.4 Ω determine the possible minimum
and maximum value of Rx.

Example 4 :Figure below show the schematic diagram of a Wheatstone bridge with values
of the bridge elements. The battery voltage is 5 V and its internal resistance negligible.
The galvanometer has a current sensitivity of 10 mm/µA and an internal resistance of 100
Ω. Calculate the deflection of the galvanometer caused by the 5-Ω unbalance in arm BC

Example 5:Design a single-range series-type ohmmeter using a PMMC ammeter that has
internal resistance of 50 Ω and requires a current of 1 mA for full-scale deflection. The
internal battery has a voltage of 3 V. It is desired to read half scale at a resistance value of
2000 Ω. Calculate
a) The values of shunt resistance and current limiting series resistance, and
b) Range of values of the shunt resistance to accommodate battery voltage variation
in the range 2.7 to 3.1 V

Example 6:A 4-terminal resistor was measured with the help of a Kelvin’s double bridge
having the following components: Standard resistor = 98.02 μΩ, inner ratio arms = 98.022
Ω and 202 Ω, outer ratio arms = 98.025 Ω and 201.96 Ω, resistance of the link connecting
the standard resistance and the unknown resistance = 600 μΩ. Calculate the value of the
unknown resistance.
