SHALAT
Definition
-Etimologically, The word shalat is commonly translated as ‘prayer, bowing, homage, worship’.
-Terminologically, Shalat is worship Allah that begin with takbiratul ihram and ending with salam,
which is guided by Syara’.
Dalil of Shalat
ISRA MI’RAJ (Instruction of Shalat)
Glory to (Allah) Who did take His servant for a Journey by night from the Sacred Mosque to the far-
thest Mosque, whose precincts We did bless,- in order that We might show him some of Our Signs:
for He is the One Who heareth and seeth (all things). (Q.S. Al-Israa (17) verse 1)
Shalat will have meaning if:
-Humble (khusyu) in shalat
1.The believers must (eventually) win through,-
Hasten to Pray
O ye who believe! When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday (the Day of Assembly), hasten
earnestly to the Remembrance of Allah, and leave off business (and traffic): That is best for you if
ye but knew! (Q.S. Al-Jumu’ah ayat 9)
