SHALAT
Definition
-Etimologically, The word shalat is commonly translated as ‘prayer, bowing, homage, worship’.
-Terminologically, Shalat is worship Allah that begin with takbiratul ihram and ending with salam,
which is guided by Syara’.

ISRA MI’RAJ (Instruction of Shalat)

-Isra Mi’raj : 27 Rajab
-STI (Cikal Bakal UII) berdiri 27 Rajab 1364 H /1945 M.
-UII berdiri 27 Rajab 1367 H /1948 M.

Glory to (Allah) Who did take His servant for a Journey by night from the Sacred Mosque to the far-
thest Mosque, whose precincts We did bless,- in order that We might show him some of Our Signs:
for He is the One Who heareth and seeth (all things). (Q.S. Al-Israa (17) verse 1)
 Shalat will have meaning if:
-Humble (khusyu) in shalat
1.The believers must (eventually) win through,-

2.Those who humble themselves in their prayers;

QS. Al-Mukminum (23) verse 1-2)

Hasten to Pray
O ye who believe! When the call is proclaimed to prayer on Friday (the Day of Assembly), hasten
earnestly to the Remembrance of Allah, and leave off business (and traffic): That is best for you if
ye but knew! (Q.S. Al-Jumu’ah ayat 9)

Shalat adalah tiang agama

Hadits Rasulullah SAW:
‫الصالة عماد الدين فمن اقامها فقد اقام الدين‬
‫ومن تركها فقد هدم الدين‬

Shalat: Amalan yang pertama kali dihisab

Hadits Rasulullah SAW:
‫ فان قبلت‬,‫اول ما يحاسب به العبد يوم القيامة صالته‬
‫ وان ردت رد عنه سائر عمله‬,‫تقبل عنه سائر عمله‬

TATA CARA SHALAT

-Niat:Takbiratul Ihram.
-Meletakkan tangan kanan di atas tangan kiri
-Al-Tawajjuh (membaca doa ifititah).
-Surat Al-Fatehah
-Ruku’
-’tidal
-Sujud
-Duduk Iftirasy
-Duduk Tawarruk
-Salam

Posisi tangan setelah Takbiratul Ihram

Mata melihat tempat sujud, atau melihat ka’bah ketika di Masjidil Haram
 Duduk Iftirasy (Duduk antara dua sujud, duduk
tahiyyat awal, duduk istirahat)

Duduk Tawarruk (Duduk Tahiyyat Akhir)
