II.Project Summary

Project SLM primary intends to help learners of Barucboc National High

School, specifically the Senior High School students who are having difficulties in
purchasing school supplies that they need during this time of pandemic where they
are learning in their homes using Modules. The concept of the project is based on
three reasons: a) most of the learners as per the record in the MELSF are classified as
economically disadvantaged; b) motivate learners to continue studying by providing
necessary school supplies that they needed in studying such as notebook, ball pen,
papers, pad papers and more; c) give opportunity and inspiration to the learners to
pursue their dreams and aspirations in life.
Realizing the project means a collaborative effort of the proponent and
members in establishing partners and linkages for the successful implementation of
the said project.
This innovative project shall be implemented before the start of the classes on
January 2022, with a minimum budget of 5,000.00 which shall be source out from
donations and income generating project.

III. Project Background

The Philippines is facing a deep economic contraction since last year which
affect every Filipino’s life. Innovation project is one of the thrusts of our

government to solve our economic problem especially this time of pandemic.
Each household are facing difficulties in life and it impacts more the economically
disadvantaged parents in sourcing out their income for their basic needs amid
pandemic. The feeder Barangays of our school such as Barucboc, Dummon,
Turod, Estrada, Aurora and San Juan, Quezon, Isabela is estimated to composed
of 55% which belong to less-fortunate group and most of them are 4P’s recipients.

Based on the Modified Learner Enrolment and Survey form most of the people
work as helpers to the land owners and earning marginal income where most of
their children’s education needs is being sacrificed just to meet their basic needs.
Considering the economic status of the pupils, “Students Learning Materials”
project is developed to support Department of Education’s inclusive education
through extending assistance to learners who are in need. Beneficiaries shall be
Grade 11 and 12 students. Basing into the situation of the beneficiaries, it shall be
a big help for them to be motivated to continue their studies and boost their
interest in honing their talents and skills to prepare them in the real word of task.

Moreover, due to the pandemic that created a major impact in the way quality
education is delivered, learners of this schools need to be supported in their
learning to become a 21st century learner with skills, attitude and behavior.

IV. Project Objectives

“Student’s Learning Materials” project is anchored to Department of

Education’s program on access where it promotes that every Filipino has access to
complete basic education. It primary aims to support pupils to equitably access
quality education.

This project specifically focused on providing learning material aid to the

target beneficiaries and motivate them to continue schooling through modular
mode of learning.
