SYLLABUS IN Animation
GRADE 11 ICT

COURSE DESCRIPTION This subject leads to a Computer Systems Servicing. It covers the common competencies that a student
ought to possess: application of quality standards, computer operations; performing mensuration and
calculation; preparation and interpretation of technical drawing; the use of hand tools; terminating and
connecting electrical wiring and electronics circuits; and testing electronics components; and four core
competencies, namely, installing and configuring computer systems, setting up computer networks,
setting up computer servers, and maintaining and repairing computer systems and networks.
CORE SUBJECT STANDARD The learners…
1. Develop and expand artistic perception, recognizing that the elements of art, the principles of design,
and color theory constitute the underlying language of the visual arts;
2. Discuss the relevance of the course;
3. Develop and expand visual arts knowledge and skills to imaginatively express original visual and
animated ideas;
4. Develop knowledge of historical and cultural developments and their influence on modern animation,
filmmaking, and the internet; and
5. Explore career opportunities in computer systems servicing
CONTENT STANDARD The learners demonstrate an understanding of the basic concepts and underlying techniques in animation
PERFORMANCE STANDARD The learners shall be able to demonstrate common competencies in animation as prescribed by TESDA
