2.3.Summary
At the outset, the journal provides an introduction that this research aims to identify skills
for managers of digital business disruption and to propose skills development models that are
aligned with market evolution. Then the concept of manager skills is connected and
indispensable to deal with this digital disruption. Which is skills development prevails as a
research issue very important for the competitiveness of the markets and are perceived as a
strategic management tool to cope with the current business environment, mainly because the
market has changed from a market of mass production to a market of customization where
quality, price, and speed of delivery are stressed.
The emergence of this disruption is due to more focus on information technology (IT),
which includes the main technologies, namely the internet of things (IoT), artificial
intelligence, robotics, mobile technologies, big data, nanotechnology, cloud technology.

2
These technologies are analyzed for their potential impact on emerging new businesses.
Furthermore, research was conducted by giving 7 questions through interviews with IT
Specialists, where the questions were about the impact, relationship, and manager skills. The
ultimate goal and primary concern of the research are to analyze the lessons learned to
propose a model to develop disruptive business manager's skills.
After that, a survey was conducted on the skills of this digital business disruption to
managers where the survey was conducted on the level of their good or bad skill points. The
managers who follow this consist of different genders totaling 147 people. Eventually, this
research gave the validity to state that the manager of disruptive business must be a resilient
person focused on the business implementation and its viability. The skill model that has
been found also needs to be implemented. The implementation of this model will promote the
acquisition of skills with regard to business development, which includes the strategy that the
company will adopt, products and/or services, management systems which integrate
knowledge about potential strategies to adopt in the company, capacity planning and the
setting of strategic goals and ability to make strategic decisions on company policies in their
various areas of expertise. Will give the knowledge to identify the best marketing strategy for
business development, taking into account the analysis of the environment, competitive
analysis, market analysis and the company itself. Create know-how to develop a corporate
and brand name for products and services such as media publicity image.
In this study, the author also explained that the research had a small research sample. A
second limitation is that the skills required for IT new disruptive business were collected only
by interview

Collected Data Research Techniques In completing the results of this study, the
researchers collected data by:

1. Questionnaire (Questionnaire)

3
Questionnaires or questionnaires are data
collection techniques by providing a series
of questions to be answered by respondents.

2. Literature Research (Library Research)

Collecting data through the library is a
research method by collecting data related
to research from books and literatures.

3. Interview (Interview)
This data collection technique is carried out
directly by the researcher in the form of
questions and answers or interviews by
resource persons who act as informants to
obtain the data needed inthe study.
Data Analysis Techniques The data analysis method used by this
research is a qualitative analysis method,
where the research is carried out by

Research Result The motivation for this research has its roots
in a lack of a systematic development
approach about skills needed by
organizations, especially the ones that are
creating new disruptive business and the
competitive market context. There is a little
theoretical and empirical support to connect
these two dimensions regarding disruptive
business, which has made it a fascinating
challenge to embrace. This research
identified three types of skills through the
content analysis of the interviews made to
the IT specialists – innovation, leadership
and management, and tries to analyze the
perception of a sample of managers from
different economic sectors regarding the
level of development needed by managers
of disruptive business for those same skills.
According to the managers, the skills

development. It is also possible to conclude
that there is a significant relationship
between perceived skills development and
the manager's job level, but no significant
differences were found between the three
skills dimensions – innovation, leadership,
and management - and the type of
organization, and gender variables. This
study will help to develop a higher level of
awareness regarding the skills needed by the
managers of new disruptive businesses and
to rethink the company's strategies
according to skills development to respond
to the challenges of the market.
