We as humans tend to forget God when

things are smooth sailing and only

remember when things are rough. When
we are having a hard time, we tend to
wholeheartedly pray to God and ask for
help, but when things go our way, we
tend to forget God—especially when we
are blessed with achievements and
worldly honor. We tend to become
proud of ourselves and forget how God
was the one who made all these things
possible.

appreciative during preaching. Simple
words like “thank you” and “I appreciate

difficult? Most of the times, it’s because of our pride. We fail to realize how unworthy we are of people’s
kindness and how powerless we are without God’s help. We tend to think that receiving people’s
kindness and blessings are normal and that it really is the way it should be. We sometimes think too
highly of ourselves that we find saying “thank you” quite a struggle.

let pride rule our actions. Sometimes it’s not because of the bad deed that was done to us that prevents
us to forgive someone. There are times that it is because of our pride.

person whom God is using to teach you about something, or you think you’re already good enough and
there’s nothing wrong with us.

That is why
