OS
An operating system (OS) is system software
that manages computer hardware, software
resources, and provides common services for
computer programs.
 In the 1940s, the earliest electronic digital systems
had no operating systems

The first operating system (OS) was created in the early 1950s
and was known as GMOS. General Motors has developed OS
for the IBM computer
OS the Intermediary.
For hardware functions such as input and
output and memory allocation, the operating
system acts as an intermediary between
programs and the computer hardware
