5.9 Boom Top Single Pulley

The boom top single pulley is made up of bracket, pulley spindle, pulley and inserting pin.

When crane is lifting the light load with boom, use boom top single pulley can increase the
lifting speed and improve the working efficiency.

5.9.1 Mount and Reposit the Boom Top Single Sheave

5.9.1.1 Mount the Boom Top Single Sheave
1) Turn the boom to the side and the rear working area of the crane and let the boom angle at

-2.
2) Pull out the fixing pin. Rotate the main bracket of boom top single sheave forward. When
it rotates to the limit position, insert the connecting pin.

3)Reeve the wire rope of the auxiliary winch on the upper sheave in the boom top and the
boom top single sheave. Mount auxiliary hook and hoisting limiter, and then it can be used.

5.9.1.2 Reposit the Boom Top Single Sheave

When the boom top single sheave is not used, dismantle it in reverse sequence used for
mounting and finally fix it at the outside of the boom head.

CAUTION:

a. Do fold the jib before the boom top single sheave is used for lifting.

b. Take out or reposit auxiliary hook according to the conductor’s signal.
