5.8 Jib
This product has one lattice structure section jib. The whole jib is fixed on the right side of the
boom by moving pin (side-mounted type) in traveling.

WARNING：Lifting with jib must be carried out after extending the outriggers.

5.8.1 The jib mounting

There are two offset angles between boom and jib: 0 and 30. So we can choose according to
the requirement. If mount the jib with 30 angle, should take out the auxiliary hook from the
auxiliary hook holder beforehand.

5.8.1.1 Mount the jib with 0 angle under storing state

1) Extend the outriggers and adjust the frame to horizontal by level gauge.

2) Retract the boom fully and turn it to the rear and side working area and ensure there is

about 20m slewing space from the slewing center. The boom angle becomes -2.
3) Extend the middle bracket and pull out the inserting pin I when using the jib.

4）Rotate the moving inserting pin II which makes jib round to front.
5）Align the link fork at the jib root to the joint bore on the right side of the fourth boom top,
and then insert moving inserting pin III and spring pin.

6）Subsequently pull out the moving inserting pin II.

7）Rotate the inserting pin III in the same direction to the front of the boom.

8）Align the link fork at the jib root to the joint bore on the left side of the fourth boom top,
then insert moving inserting pin IV and spring pin, to fix the jib reliably to the top of the
fourth boom.

9 ） Mount the hoisting rope for auxiliary winch, the auxiliary hook and the height limiter
device. Check the mounting carefully to ensure that nothing is wrong, and then the jib

mounting is finished.
5.8.1.2 Operation for changing the offset angle of jib from 0 to 30
1) Operate the control lever of the auxiliary hoist mechanism to pull out the wire rope for 2～
3m at low speed.
2) Pull out the pin spindle and spring pin at the joint of the jib’s root. Raise the boom slowly,
and the jib rotates downward by the gravity effect until it is blocked by the long groove of

connecting plate, and thus the angle between the jib and the boom is adjusted to 30.
