5.9 Boom Top Single Pulley

The boom top single pulley is made up of bracket, pulley spindle, pulley and inserting pin.
When the crane is off work or during traveling, it is mounted on the outside of boom head of
fourth section.

When crane is lifting light load, use boom top single pulley can increase the lifting speed and
improve the working efficiency.

5.9.1 The mounting and storing of boom top single pulley

5.9.1.1 The mounting of boom top single pulley
1) Turn the boom to the rear and side working area of the crane and make the boom angle at -

2) Pull out the fixing pin. Rotate the main bracket of boom top single pulley forward. When it
is in the position, insert in the connecting pin.

3) Reeve the wire rope of auxiliary winch on the boom top upper pulley and single pulley.
Mount auxiliary hook and height limiter device. Check all the mounting carefully to ensure
that there is no problem, and then it can be used.

5.9.1.2 The storing of boom top single pulley

When the boom top single pulley is off work, dismantle it in reverse sequence used for
mounting and finally fix it on the outside of boom head.

CAUTION:

a. Do retract the jib before using the boom top single pulley for lifting.

b. Take out or storing auxiliary hook according to the conductor’s signal.
