1. The common tangent of a reverse curve is 971.71 m. Three lines AB,
BC and CD with azimuths of 270⁰, 300⁰ and 240 ⁰ respectively are
connected to form this curve. The radius of the first curve is 750 m
and the stationing of the vertex of first curve is 11+250.
Determine the following: (80 points)
a. The radius of the second curve.
b. The tangent length of the first curve
c. The tangent length of the second curve
d. The total length of the reverse curve.
e. The stationing of the beginning of the curve.
f. The stationing of the common tangent point.
g. The stationing of the end of the curve.

2. The directions of two traverse lines AB and CD are Due East and S
60⁰ E respectively and are connected to form a reverse curve. Line
BC is the common tangent. The radii of the first curve and second
curve are 200 m and 400 m respectively. The stationing of the
beginning of the curve is 10+120.50. At point E, located on the
projection of tangent AB after the vertex of the first curve is 300 m
away from end of the reverse curve. (90 points)
Determine the following:
a. The central angle of the simple curves.
b. The tangent length of the simple curves.
c. The length of simple curves.
d. The stationing of the point of reverse curve.
e. The stationing of the end of the curve.
