Emerged in 1970s. Movements like:
Chipko movement in India
Green Belt movement in Kenya.
Coined - Francoise d’Eaubonne - 1974.
Further developed - Ynestra King - 1976
Became a movement in 1980.
“Women and Life on Earth: Ecofeminism
in the 80s” - 1st Ecofeminist Conference.
They said that the liberation of women
could not be achieved without a wider

Nature Of Ecofeminism
