Introduction

Art or creating a work of art does not only entails beauty. If all art works convey the same aesthetic
objects, what set them apart from one another? It does not only take an artist to create art. To produce a work of
art, there must be creativity, imagination and expression. It is time for you to unleash your creativity and
imagination. Are you ready? Let’s get started.

Do you think it is beautiful? Do you understand the message it
is trying to convey? List down the reasons why you think you
did or did not understand its meaning.

- Yes, I do think it is beautiful, it might not be colourful and extravagant but it shows a
lot of emotions and it takes a lot of understanding to fully grasp the message of this
piece and I think that’s what makes it beautiful.
- I find it a little hard to fully understand the message behind this painting but in my
understanding, it depicts great emotions that can eat up a person’s ability to be
happy. It also has connection with mental health and depression.
- I think I did not understand the purpose of the painting itself but I do understand the
great emotion the painter or artist had while he was making this.
