PROCESSING QUESTIONS AND ANALYSIS

1. Is the assessment method/strategy used by your cooperating teacher aligned to the

learning objective? Why or why not?
 I can say yes, the assessment is inclined for the said objectives even we are in
this kind of situation the assessment given by my CT will help students at least to
remember or retain the knowledge given by them. Tho it is hard because it’ll be
more effective if the discussion happens in laboratory but my CT do extra effort to
execute well the lesson.

2. Is the assessment method/strategy used by your cooperating teacher suitable to the

students’ grade level? Why or why not?
 Yes, it is suitable for Grade 9 students. My CT gave them assignment that the
students need to document themselves doing proper execution for what is being
discussed.
3. In choosing the assessment method/strategy to be used, what factors should the teacher
consider?
 The teachers should consider each students capability of doing certain activity like
my CT where she ask first if all of the students have access in proper gadgets to
do the assignment she given.

ACTIVITY 9.2. Assessing Learning in Different Levels

Field Study Student: ____Resty Oro________ Subject: ___EDFS 22________

Resource Teacher: ___Mrs. Liza Bonina_________ Teacher’s Signature: _________
School: ____Cavite National Highschool________ Date of Observation: __11/02/21____
Grade/Year Level: _______Grade 9____________ Section: ___Palosanto_______

INSTRUCTIONS: Interview your cooperating teacher or other teachers in your

cooperating school handling different grade levels. Ask the following questions:

1. In assessing your students in different levels, are you using the same method/strategy?
Why or Why not?
 No, for me as a teacher I will identify first my students differences in learning style
so that I can adjust and make my classroom discussion student friendly by that
way I believe as a students it is easy to pick up knowledge if the classroom setting
is in friendly/comfortable ambiance.

2. How do you differentiate the assessment methods/strategy(ies) you use in different

levels?
 I think when you are handling higher grade level, doing assessment for me the
best for them is doing performance task activities something like reports,
documentation and laboratory act that will practice their cognitive and personal
skill. And for the lower grade I think video presentation discussion is the best them
and do oral recitation, pen and paper activities to ready them in more complicated
activity.

3. Why should you use different methods/strategy(ies) at different levels?

 Because they have different capabilities of achieving level of difficulties.

4. How does assessment methods/strategy(ies) at different levels affect students’ learning?

 Using a variety of strategies ensures that students have an opportunity to work
with many different group members throughout the year. are finishing their work at
different times.

INSIGHTS AND REFLECTION

What insights and reflection can you derive from this field study episode?

As instructors and assessors we should be ready, willing and able to give an account of how
and why we instruct, mentor and assess as we do. “Taxonomy” is just another way of
describing an arrangement or classification of things, in this case educational things. Bloom
identified ‘domains’ of educational activities with categories of educational activities within
those domains: Cognitive includes Knowledge, Comprehension, Application, Analysis,
Synthesis, and Evaluation. In Bloom’s taxonomy the Cognitive domain describes a
framework of information processing through certain types of activities.
CLOSING DISCUSSION

Enumerate five (5) key points in to be done in assessing students’ learning at different
levels.

1. Consider each student capabilities.

2. Higher grade level assessment is harder than lower grade level assessment
3. Assessment will be based on students learning style
4. Use flexible strategies that help the student to easily adopt the knowledge you share as a
teacher
5. Don’t restrain knowledge
