ACTIVITY 1.1

EXPLORING THE SCHOOL CAMPUS:

1. The school environment must be purposely created in such a way as to stimulate


independence, creativity and a love of learning in order to give an exceptional education to student.
School environment should be constructed to support student’s intellectual, physical and emotional
growth. It should offers a productive ambiance to feel inspired and involved. Also, where encourages
the connection with students, teachers and other school staffs.

2. A good school environment is one where students learn to value their own education. A good
and positive school environment is important to student success and effective learning. It embraces the
goal that all students acquire greater motivation that leads to meaningful learning outcomes.

All students deserve access to a clean and safe school environment. The school should consist
of complete school facilities where it will help them to focus in class, to achieved academic success
and the opportunity for them to thrive. Knowledgeable teachers, administrator and staff should also
present where they are the one that improves the delivery of school services, promote sustainable
operations and implement good school practices. Engagement of parents and community members is
important too. An ambiance and place where students feel motivated and engaged. To my way of
thinking, these are the content of a good school environment.

In fact, a good school environment; students concentration is improved, anxiety is reduced,


emotional and behavioral regulation is supported.

1. Would you like to teach in the school environment you just observed? Why? Or Why not?
Yes, since it’s my alma mater, the school staffs, teachers and students are respectful and
approachable. It has many trees where I feel warm and peaceful. I can also say that students really
enjoyed school since I can see the smiles in their faces.

2. What kind of school campus is conducive to learning?


Having a good and positive environment, clean and functional facilities, a relaxing ambiance, in
my opinion these are kind of school campus conducive to learning.

3. What kind of classroom is conducive to learning?


Complete learning materials, clean and organized classroom, a well-ventilated, healthy
connection between teacher and students, and spacious classroom, consists of 25-30 students, from
my view point these are kind of classroom conducive to learning.

1. What is bulletin board display?


Bulletin board displays is an educational tool as well as a colorful decoration. It can introduce
new topics and generate student interest. It is used to relay information to students, reinforce lessons
and display students work.

In my point of view, the purpose of the board displays is to convey variety of information , from
meeting announcement and parent updates to curriculum overviews and student work displays. They
have the ability to make learning apparent as well.

REFLECTION REPORT ABOUT


BULLETIN BOARD

As I have done some


research about skills that a teacher should have to come up with effective board displays these what I
got; the following are the skills needed, Creativity - in order to attain the purpose which is to inform and
entertain viewers. Fairness - a designer should touch the content and the form of display and it should
be balanced. Patience - designing needs patience in order that errors will be minimized or avoided.
Imaginative Mind - to build an output that catches the eyes of the viewers. Time management skill - to
finish the board display on time.
Out of these skills, I can say that I have the patience and time management skill, back when I
experiences designing a bulletin board, my groupmates and I finished the bulletin board smoothly and
right on time since we stick to our plan.
As of these skills, I think the creativity and imaginative mind need to be improve. To improve
these skills I will gather the idea of my classmates and friends and I’ll watch videos on how to designs
bulletin boards then will try practicing it and apply it again in bulletin design making.
It opens my mind that in making bulletin boards you cannot put whatever you want because
there are lots of things that need to consider. It should be well-planned.
