Case study 1
13.In a newly constructed park, which is situated in the heart of city Hyderabad,
an architect has formed a structure in the given shape. The shape has a
cuboid, which is standing on the two cylindrical beams. The dimensions of the
cuboid are 1.5 m, 3 m and 0.5 m. The dimensions of the cylinders are of
height 2 m and diameter 0.6 m.

i) If the cuboid needs to be painted red, how much area need to be painted?
ii) If a cloth is needed to cover the cylindrical part, how much cloth is needed?

Case Study-2
14.One day, during games period four friends A, B, C and D planned to play game
using number cards. They prepared 20 numbered cards with labelled I to 20
and then they put all the number cards in the empty chalk box available in the
classroom. In this game, every friend was asked to pick the card randomly and
after each draw, card was replaced back in the chalk box
Set B

first boy pick the card and he get the card with an even number.
i)If the card drawn in first case is replaced, and the second boy draws a card.
What is the probability getting a prime number?
ii) If the card drawn, is not replaced in the second draw, what is the probability
that he got a multiple of 3 greater than 4?
