Task 1: The pie charts show women’s highest level of education in Someland

in two years: 1945 and 1995.

The two pie charts illustrate the highest level of education for women in Someland
in the year 1945 and 1995.
Overall, it is clear that the percentage of women who achieved a higher level of
education dramatically increased in Someland after fifty years. The most
noticeable change was the proportion of women who finished their first degree.
Initially, in the year 1945, the percentages of women who did not attend school and
dropped out of school in the 3rd grade were the same, at 35%. Meanwhile, 15% of
women completed their 6th grade, which was 5% higher than the proportion of
women studied up to the 9th grade (10%), and more 11% than the percentage of
women finished their 12th grade (4%). At the same time, only 1% of women
completed their first degree, and there was no post graduate woman.
However, in the following 50 years, all women in Someland attended school.
Especially, the proportion of women who finished their post graduate leapt to 50%,
and the percentages of women completed their first degree and 9th grade were both
20%. Finally, there were 9% of women studied up to the 9th grade, an increase
of…. and there was no woman who dropped out of school in the 6th and 3rd grade.

Task 2: It seems that the increase in use of mobile phones and computers,
fewer people prefer to write letters. Why is it the case? Will the skill of writing
disappear completely?

In recent times, it is usually believed that the widespread use of cell phones and
computers makes few people like writing letters. Given that there are several
reasons for this problem, and I also think that this issue will make the skill of
writing letters by hand disappear completely in the future.
First and foremost, people should recognize the fact that there are a number of
factors involved in this. There is no denying that using smartphones or computers
to type and send messages to anyone is much faster than writing letters in the
modern world, which helps people to save a great deal of time. Besides, the
technological devices allow people to be easy to convey a massive amount of
information to others immediately in their houses that do not need to go out. These
causes give an explanation of why people prefer using computers or cell phones to
type letters compared to writing a letter with pens.
In the current technological age, people’s writing skills could not be appreciated by
writing hand letters. It is important to remember that technological advances help
human to have more convenience in their life, so if typing letters by technological
devices can assist people to achieve their purposes, it will be a better alternative to
writing letters by hand. Therefore, people will not be in favor of the skill of
writing, and it will gradually disappear in the near future.
In conclusion, it is my belief that there are two main reasons for the trend offwhich
make the spread of using computers and mobile phones reduce a large number of
people writing letters with pens, and I am convinced quite sure that people will not
use hand letters in the future.
