TASK 1

The age groups in Oman and Spain are significantly compared in the pie charts. The first
statistics pertain to 2005, and estimates of population ages for 2055 have been provided.
Overall, it's critical to recognize that in both nations, the percentage of children under 14 will
decline by 2055. But in Oman alone, middle-aged people will become the dominant
demographic due to this trend.
It is evident from the charts that half of Oman's population in 2005 was under the age of
fourteen. Only 4% of the population was in the 15–59 age range. Additionally, more than 60
individuals covered 49% of the remaining half. Nonetheless, it is predicted that the
population of Oman will drastically change its dominant positions during the next fifty years.
According to the illustration, the percentage of Oman's population that is 60 years of age or
older increased from 48% to 57% in 2055. The population of those aged 0 to 14 will decline
to 37%, while that of those aged 15 to 59 will slightly increase to 6%. Nevertheless, 62% of
Spanish citizens were 60 years of age or older in 2005. Forecasts regarding that status show
no appreciable changes in the relative dominance of age groups.
Task 2
In this digital age, technology has simplified the process of moving. People can live and work
anywhere in the world in search of better opportunities thanks to advancements in travel,
technology, and telecommunication. The benefits of this phenomenon outweigh the
drawbacks, which will be discussed in more detail in the paragraphs that follow.
The freedom to live and work wherever you choose has many benefits. First off, people who
live far from their family benefit greatly from technological advancements. An individual can
have convenient conversations with their loved ones at any time by using modern mobile
phones and apps. Additionally, since telecommunications allows people to work for any
company in any location in the world, there will be more job opportunities for everyone.
Conversely, there are drawbacks as well. For example, individuals who reside overseas often
put off paying visits to their family members because they believe that calling them at any
time suffices. The younger generation of today is so reliant on technology that they think a
phone call is sufficient instead of a visit. It has caused a severance in the relationship. Also,
due to increased transport facilities people can devote more time to their families which in
turn leads to increasing work life balance and better lifestyle.
In conclusion, it can be said that staying in contact with loved ones who are far away has
become much more convenient thanks to technology. Nowadays, people can live and work
anywhere, which is more of a benefit than a drawback.
