C. Answer the following questions.

1. So, are social media a fad? Why (not)?
social media are not a passing fad, but a radical change in the way we communicate. Millions of pieces of
content are shared on Facebook daily. Social media have created new forms of communication, they have
shortened distances, they have made the world smaller, more interrelated and have given rise to a completely
new globalized environment. By Cezanne Software
Talent management, and the parallel development of the technology that supports it, are integrated into this
new social environment that has led to the creation of new talent management models.

2. What importance do they have in your life?

yes, they are important since the media encourage conversation about different topics of common interest,
which in itself allows the acquisition of knowledge within a process that constantly feeds back. The main
purpose of the media is, precisely, to communicate objectively, but depending on their type of ideology they
can specialize in informing, educating, transmitting, entertaining, forming opinion, teaching, controlling, etc.

The media reside in the fact that they allow extensive information content to reach extended parts of the
planet immediately, such as news, technological advances, scientific discoveries, etc. In this way more people
have access to this type of information immediately. The media, likewise, make it possible for many personal
relationships to stay together or at least not disappear altogether as they facilitate real-time communication.
Another positive factor occurs in the economic field: whoever owns the use of the media can generate a
certain type of awareness about a kind of product, that is, they can generate their own demand, since the
media often play the role of trainers of opinion
