Pre-lesson 1.Teacher displays flash cards and pupils identify action / verbs.

Lesson Delivery Post Lesson

1. Have pupils sit or stand in a circle. Give each pupil a word
card. Ask pupils to find friends to make sentences.
2. Ask pupils to say their sentences. Put the sentences on
the board. Elicit the need for full stops.
3. Play a game to elicit the spelling of favourite day and
activities.
4. Hand out worksheet to pupils. They draw a picture in the
box based on sentences.
6. Display pupils’ work in the classroom. Ask pupils to tell the
class about their work.

REMEMBER IT, SAY IT
1. Teacher choose a key sentence or sentences for the pupils to focus
on.
2. Make sure that pupils understand the meaning of the
sentence(s).Say the sentence twice and ask the pupils to repeat it.
3.Extend the activity by writing a sentence on the board. Rub out a
word and replace it with a line. Ask the pupils to say the complete
sentence. –class discussion.
