Write a 2-page essay on how important is the OJT course for you. What are your expectations in
taking up this OJT course? And how beneficial do you see your OJT course in your career
development?
On The Job, training is very important for us as Civil Engineering students because it
would allow us to experience the actual training we learned in school. On The Job, training has
many benefits for us, including increased productivity, better employee retention, and higher
morale among the workforce. In my experience, pandemics have had a significant impact on our
study because we have always used an online platform to do classes since pandemics started. The
online course is totally bad for us civil engineering students because of many of the laboratories
that we can experience. Also, online classes give us anxiety and stress that can affect our studies.
Regarding this situation On Job training becoming online classes also it would affect us we can’t
choose what companies we want to go to in training.

My expectations in taking up On the Job training, whether it is online or on-site, I learned

more than I expected because On the Job training has given us unforgettable experiences and
training that we usually do in our future Job. My father shared his experience in on-site training,
and he said that the On the Job training is the most significant course in Civil Engineering
because it gives you question if you want to be a Civil Engineer or not. Also, he said that when
he experienced on-site training, he gained a connection with other people on how they work on
site. Thus, I would like to take On the Job training on-site. Unfortunately, we are here in Doha,
Qatar, to visit my parents because they can't go to the Philippines. So I choose online classes
(Coursera) to finish my on-the-job training. I expect in an online course (Coursera) that I learn
much even if It is not like in actual training.

On the Job, training is very significant for us as Civil Engineering students because it is
an actual practice that we learn from school. We practice it and enhance our knowledge about the
construction site, how it works and how the system works in there. The On the Job training will
be very beneficial for us it can lead to the experience we never forget it I like one moment
experiences. As Civil Engineering students, we study the theory and formula on how to design
works like in reinforcement concrete design and steel design, and we learn how loads affect the
materials used for construction infrastructures such as buildings, highways, dams, etc. Thus, the
On the Job training give us experience that all learning in theory and design we see how it
applies in reality. It is better to have on-site on-the-job training. However, In my situation, I can't
do on-site training because I’m here in Doha, Qatar, for my family. Instead, I will choose
Coursera courses; however, I will do my best to learn so much that I apply in my real job in the
future.
