The Issue:
History of shoehorn:
Shoehorn originated in the late renaissance age. It is referred as “schoying horne” in the
United Kingdom.
Process:
From the Thermocol slime, the idea was to produce a shoehorn. Shoehorn is also called
shoe spoon. It is used to easily slide our heel into the shoe. The high strength of the material
ensures that it doesn’t break easily when it is being used.
To manufacture the shoehorns, mold and dies can be created using 3D prototyping to keep
the cost of mold as low as possible. Once the Thermocol slime is created it can be injected
into the molds to produce the shoehorn. The image of the hand finished product is
