The Data Management Fundamentals exam is the foundation exam for all CDMP levels.
If you pass this exam with a 60% or more pass mark, you automatically receive an Associate certification.
If you achieve a pass mark of 70% it will also count towards Practitioner certification.
If you achieve a pass mark of 80% it will also count towards Master certification.

Your records
At the end of each calendar month, exam results are sent to DAMA-I for loading to your membership portal.
Once this has occurred you will lose access to your exam.
Please take a copy of your exam results, for your records.

Badges and Certificates

If you have passed the exam (a score of 60% or more) you will receive an Associate Badge and Certificate.
These can take up to 10 days to be issued.

Badge – You will receive a notification email from Badgr once your Badge has been issued. Please
follow the link in the email to setup your Badgr backpack and share your badges.

Certificates – This will be sent to you at the email you used to create your Canvas account.

If you passed with over 70% you are eligible to continue your CDMP journey to
Practitioner or Master.

Practitioner requirements Master requirements*

70% pass in Data Management Fundamentals 80% pass in Data Management Fundamentals
exam and 70% pass in 2 specialist exams exam and 80% pass in 2 specialist exams

*Minimum 10 years experience required. As part of the process

you will need to submit a CV for review.

Retakes
You can do a retake if you would like to try for a higher pass mark. There is no minimum time frame between your
first attempt and your re-take. A retake costs USD$200 + proctor fee. You can purchase a retake here
