SUBJECT: REITERATION OF OUA MEMO 00-0321-0018 ENTITLED NATIONAL

ORIENTATION ON THE BARK.ADA KONTRA. DROGA (BKD) PROGRAM
DATED MARCH 1, 2021 AND OUA MEMO 00-0321-0150 ADDENDUM TO
OUA MEMORANDUM NO. 00-0321 -00018 DATED MARCH 10,2021

DATE: March 17, 2021

1. This is to reiterate the OUA MEMO 00-321 -0018 and OUA MEMO 00-0321~0150
entitled National Orientation on the Barkada Kontra Droga wherein the activity aims
to:
a. Explain t he roles and responsibilities of Youth Formation Coordinators
(YFCs).
b. Discuss its integration with the National Drug Education Program (NDEP);
and
c . The Policy of the Department of Education (DepEd) against the use of illegal
drugs in line with the Philippines Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy.

2. All Division Youth Formation Coordinators, School NDEP Coordinators and

BKD School Coordinators who will be designated by their school heads are
requested to attend the said orientation via live streaming at

3. Further, all non-teaching personnel who will render services on the said date will
be given compensatory time-off and overtime credits which can be used for leave
purposes valid for one year. On the other hand, the teaching personnel shall be
entitled to service credits which can be used to offset absences incurred during
illness. These shall be valid and binding until they are separated or retired from
service.

Subject: NATIONAL ORIENTATION ON THE

BARKADA KONTRA DROGA (BKD) PROGRAM

The Bureau of Learner Support Services-Youth Formation Division (BLSS-

YFD) will conduct the National Orientation on the Barkada Kont:ra Droga (BKD}
Program on 20 March 2021 via virtual platforms.

This endeavor aims to orient the participants on the BKD Program; explain
the roles and responsibilities of Youth Formation Coordinators (YFCs) in the said
program; and discuss its integration with the National Drug Education Program
(NDEP), an existing policy of the Department of Education (DepEd) against the use
of illegal drugs in line with the Philippine Anti-Illegal Drugs Strategy (PADS).

In this light, all regional and d ivision YFCs are directed to participate in the
