Verbal and Non-Verbal

1. As you know, communication is irreversible, and it shapes human identity and

society. Knowing this, how can you adapt verbal and nonverbal messages for
effectiveness while also not crossing the ethical line? How does gender,
diversity, power, privilege, race, etc. impact this question of ethics? Could one
person cross the line, but not another in the same situation? Use these questions
to reflect on verbal and nonverbal messages and their ethical usage in your
response.

Answer:

When it comes to verbal communication, Media is good example, it has made

society meaner when they comment on something online, people don’t care how
their comment\opinion affects someone else.

texting is another form of verbal communication, when it comes to texting people

can express themselves using ‘emojis’ or the person won’t respond back the
other person and it might make that person annoyed.

When it comes to nonverbal communication, it’s used by body language which is

in our everyday life, a couple of examples are waving, and shaking hands Which
shows that you’re trying to make a good impression of yourself.

ASL is a language for deaf people, they use their hands to make symbols that
represent words to communicate/speak to people. This a good example of
nonverbal communication.
