SUBJECT CLARIFICATION ON THE REPORTING REQUIREMENTS

FOR SPECIFIC PARAMETERS UNDER DENR
ADMINISTRATIVE ORDER NO. 2016.08 OR THE REVISED
WATER QUALITY GUIDELINES AND GENERAL EFFLUENT
STANDARDS OF 2016

In line with the implementation of DAO 2016-08 and EMB Memorandum Circular No.
2016-12 (EMB Approved Methods of Analysis for Water and Wastewater), the following are the
clarification on the reporting requirements for specific parameters under the said DAO:

PARAMETER CLARIFICATION ON THE REPORTING

REQUIREMENTS
Phosphates Total, Reactive Phosphate as Phosphorus
Phenol and Phenolic Substances Sum of the concentrations of unsubstituted
Phenol (CAS No. 108-95-2) and of the specific
chlorinated phenolic substances stated in the
Administrative Order (2-Chlorophenol, 2,4-
Dich lorophenol, and 2,4,6 -T richlorophenol) ;
Xylenes Sum of the concentrations of o-Xylen€, ffi-
Xylene, and p-Xylene concentrations
Fecal Coliforms analyzed in The laboratory must use the approved or method
Class AA waters which does not employ serial dilution (i.e., the
approach used for drinking water samples)if
using the Multiple Tube Fermentation Technique
Chlordane Sum of alpha-Chlordane (or cis-Chlordane, CAS
No. 5103-71-9) and gamma-Chlordane (or trans-
Chlordane, CAS No. 5103-74-2)

This memorandum circular shall take effect immediately
