1. SCOPE

This checklist supplements AC7102. The checklist shall apply to


Suppliers seeking Nadcap accreditation engaged in Hot Isostatic
Pressing (HIP) of metal products.

2. GENERAL INFORMATION:

This checklist is to be performed in conjunction with a job audit. All


“NO” answers are findings. All “N/As” must be explained.

Pyrometry shall conform to AMS2750 except for TUS and SAT. TUS
shall comply with customer and specification requirements.

3. QUALIFICATION

3.1 Are technical instructions for the HIP process approved through YES NO

4. EQUIPMENT

5. CLEANING

7. TEMPERATURE CONTROL

11. UNLOADING

JOB AUDITS CHECKLIST

The Auditor shall complete long form and short form job audits based on the Supplier’s heat
treating capabilities. For a Supplier seeking only HIP accreditation, there shall be 2 long jobs
and 8 short job audits of which at least 3 will be live HIP jobs. For a Supplier seeking HIP
accreditation in addition to the Heat Treating, there shall be at least 2 live HIP jobs.

13. COMPLIANCE AUDIT OF COMPLETED HIP JOB

The Supplier needs to clearly identify the Export Control status of all
parts being used in the audit. Technical information on parts which
have been designated “Export Controlled – License Required” (EC-LR)
cannot be input into eAuditNet.

Throughout the Compliance section of the audit specific questions/data


entry points are marked with an (EC). These are questions which have
been designated by the Task Group as those which cannot be
answered in eAuditNet IF the part is (EC-LR). Do not enter technical
data, add the comment “EC Technical Data Restricted”. If Auditors
have any questions about this, they should contact the Staff Engineer
for directions.
