2. COURSE DESCRIPTION
This Course equips students with specialized knowledge in the Contractual English
language from the processes of negotiation, drafting and interpreting the contract
content. Students are introduced with main concepts on contractual language, language
of applicable laws and the most popular issues in import-export contracts. Students
studying majors of banking and finance, international business and business
administration shall need the language skills relating to contracts and rules and
regulations in their careers in the future. Studying this course shall help them get
familiar with the language of every contractual context and the language on rules and
regulations.

3. EXPECTED LEARNING OUTCOMES


On completion of this course, the students should be able to:

(1) Get to know techniques of drafting various kinds of import export contracts.
(2) Master the skill of reviewing import export contracts.
* Skills
(3) Negotiation skill, contract drafting skill to protect one’s own legal rights.
(4) Interpreting skill for import export contracts.

efficiency of contract drafting.

(6) Respect contract law and legal rights of partners.

6. COURSE POLICY:
As per training rules and regulations in force:
- Exercises alike up to 50%: ½ total mark deducted;
- Exercises alike more than 50%: get mark 0;
- Students without exercise completion, submission or late submission get mark 0.

7. COURSE ASSESSMENT
7.1. Type of Assessement
* Formative assessment (10%): class attendance and exercise completion.
* Summative assessment (90%)

7.2. Assessment Criteria


⮚ Class attendance and exercise completion
- Content: on time class attendance to get 10% of assessment.
- Criteria: Students eagerly and actively join class activities.
⮚ Midterm test
- Form: writing test of 60 minutes on Class session 17.
- Content: 5 questions on theory, 3 sentences for translation from EL into
Vietnamese and 2 sentences for translation from Vietnamese into English.
- Criteria: ability of answering the questions and translating sentences from EL into
Vietnamese and vice versa.






Final test
- Form: writing test without studying materials, 60 minutes.
- Content: 5 questions on theory, 3 sentences for translation from EL into
Vietnamese and 2 sentences for translation from Vietnamese into English
- Criteria: ability of answering the questions and translating sentences from EL into
Vietnamese and vice versa.
