the Lesson *Video Presentation
Let pupils watch the video presentation

Ask the following questions:

1. What is the video all about?
2. What do you see in the video?

Tell:
That video is related to our lesson for today.
C. Presenting examples *Use of Charts/Tarpapel
/instances of the new *Infusion of Localization and Contextualization
lessons Reading of Poem

Ask the following questions:

1. What is the title of the poem?
2. Where do you see flowers?
3. Do you pick some flowers for your love ones?
4. From your experience have you give or receive a bouquet of
flower?
5. What makes you or she/he feels?
6. Did you know that flowers have also reproductive parts?

Integration to Current Events:

-If you were given a chance to give some flower during this time of the
pandemic, to whom you give it?
-Do you think flowers can lessen the stress/anxiety during this time of
the pandemic?
Now let’s move to our discussion
D. Discussing new concepts *Discovery Learning
and practicing new skills #1. *Use of games

The Parts of the Flower

Flowers, as one of the obvious parts of plants,
differ in number, size, shape, and arrangement
among species. Having a very significant role in
plants, each reproductive part has its simple yet
complicated function. It includes the following:

The Male Reproductive Parts

Stamen- it is the male reproductive and

pollen-producing part of a flower. It includes a
slender filament supporting the anther.
Filament- it holds the anther in a high position
for the release of pollen and to make it
accessible to insects
Anther- it holds the pollen sacs where the pollen or male
gamete is produced

The Female Reproductive Parts

Pistil/Carpel - it is the female reproductive part that is

mostly found at the center of a flower. It includes the
stigma, style, ovary, and ovules
Stigma- it is the sticky portion at the top of the style
which receives pollen grains, then lets it germinate,
and finally reaches the ovary
Style- it is the narrow and elongated connective
tissues between the stigma and ovary. It is tall enough
to trap pollen grains
Ovary- it is the enlarged basal part which contains the
ovules or embryo sacs. It holds the egg cells which are
to be fertilized by the sperm from the pollen grains.
Ovules- these are the unfertilized and immature seeds

The Accessory Parts

E. Discussing new concepts *Use of game “What are the parts”

& practicing new skills #2 Direction: Identify the Reproductive Parts of Plants .

F. Leads to Formative *Integration of Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao

Assessment 3) *Infusion of Differentiated/Activities
*Infusion of Higher Order Thinking Skills

Group Activity
GROUP 1 (EASY level- for slow learners)
GROUP 2 (Average level- for average learners)

GROUP 3 (Difficult level- for fast learners)

*Integration in Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao

Valuing: Unity and Cooperation
Ask the following questions:
- Do you like our activity?
- Is our group activity easy?
- Why it became so easy?*HOTS

Numeracy
Directions: Fill in the blanks.
1. The Female Reproductive have ____________ parts.
2. The Male Reproductive have ____________ parts.

G. Finding Practical *Use of game “ Deal or No deal”

Applications of concepts Directions: Say Deal if the statement is true and No deal if the
and skills in daily living statement is false.
1. Petals is the most obvious part of the flower.
2. Stamen is the male reproductive and pollen-producing part of a
flower.
3. Receptacle are the outer parts of the flower that enclose a
developing bud.
4. Anther holds the pollen sacs where the pollen or male gamete is
produced
5. Style is tall enough to trap pollen grains

H. Making Generalizations What have you learned today?
