A Quantitative Study on the Impact of the Usage of the Social Media on Student

Academic Performance

RESEARCH PROBLEM:
This study will determine which social network is the most popular among Tabuk University students, how social
media networks can improve relations between students and teachers, how social media networks can improve the
educational process during lectures, and whether or not the use of social media networks is beneficial to the
educational process.
METHODOLOGY:
In this study, a quantitative method was adopted by using a questionnaire distribution. During this investigation, they
interviewed students about their perspectives on the use of social media and how it improves the learning process; the
researchers also asked them about which social network is best for improving the educational process. There were two
sections to the questionnaire. The first is concerned with the respondents' personal information, such as gender,
educational level, and study field. The second portion has several questions about the use of social media.
FINDINGS AND CONLUSIONS:
The main objective of the research was to examine the impact of social media on academic achievement among Tabuk
University students. The findings revealed that online social media improved communication between faculty
members, staff, and students, facilitating the communication of correct information and improving understanding and
the development of ideas and courses. Based on the data gathered, it is clear that using social media during class time
is not encouraged by the majority of respondents. According to Tabuk University students, YouTube and Twitter are
the best social networks for improving the educational process. However, given the increasing use of social media by
Tabuk University students, more research should be undertaken with a focus on the impact of social media on
students' present life habits and social relationships.
