WARNINGS and SERVICE PRECAUTIONS in AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEM
article before working around steering column.
MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH
Headlight, turn signal, cruise control (if equipped) and wiper/washer switches are combined into one multifunction switch assembly
mounted to top of steering column. See Fig. 1
.

Headlight Switch
Remove multifunction switch assembly. See procedures under MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH R & I
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Check
continuity in each switch position, between indicated switch terminals. See HEADLIGHT SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST
table. See Fig. 4
.
Replace switch if continuity is not as specified.
I "A" 10 & 13
Switch Position Connector Continuity Between Terminals No.

Ensure hazard switch is in the off position.
Washer Switch
Remove multifunction switch assembly. See procedures under MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH R & I
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Check
continuity in each switch position, between indicated switch terminals. See WASHER SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST
. See Fig. 4
. Replace
switch if continuity is not as specified.
On "B" 1&4
Wiper Switch
Remove multifunction switch assembly. See procedures under MULTIFUNCTION SWITCH R & I
under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Check
continuity in each switch position, between indicated switch terminals. See WIPER SWITCH CONTINUITY TEST
. See Fig. 4
. Replace switch
if continuity is not as specified.
