ME 223 Heat & Mass Transfer 3 0 3 0 3

Scope & Objective of the course:

By end of the course, the students will be in a position to know the three modes of conduction, convection and
radiation heat transfers. At the same time, they will have complete understanding of heat transfer analysis of one,
two and three dimensional heat conduction by using various methods and will also know diffusion in solids, liquids
and gases. Finally, the students will be in a position to design heat exchangers by using empirical formulae and
conduction, convection and radiation modes of heat transfers.
